This gym on Jackson road is a nice and clean gym with enough equipment for work out. Although it not very big, I do not fell crowded. Manager and front clerk are very friendly and helpful.

No problems with the actual gym but it's a real pain to cancel. They make you sign a long-term contract when you sign up. To make matters worse my long-term contract renewed at year-end despite the fact I explicitly told management to make sure it didn't renew. When I did try to cancel it took me multiple calls and there was a huge lag. I ended up paying 14 months for 3 months of actually using the gym. I'd look elsewhere.

Excellent staff, location, and equipment. Very clean and everything works. Happy I found this place.

If I could leave a 0 I would. This is the most predator like gym I have ever been to. They were not clear when I signed up that this was a contract, they consistently billed me after I told them to freeze it numerous times. Horrible customer service.

The gym itself is fine. A little small and pricey, but that's status quo for Ann Arbor. However, they make it fairly impossible to cancel the membership, which is just shady. I've tried calling (there's no voicemail), emailing twice, and going in (no one was there even though it was 9:30 a.m. on a weekday). Bad business practices, and I wouldn't recommend anyone join for these reasons.

If I could rate this place lower than 1 star, I absolutely would. Brad, the manager, is a nightmare to get a hold of. Been trying to show up during "staffed hours" to cancel my membership and no one is there to help me. I've also called many times and texted his number without being able to reach him. 9 out of 10 times your call will go to voicemail, and when he does answer, he will tell you that he doesn't come to your club anymore and in order to change any terms to your membership, you'll have to drive to wherever he is to do so.All in all, the memberships at this branch are clearly designed to trap you in them, don't fall for this place, just find a different gym and save yourself a headache.

Good clean gym. It's smaller than most locations. Has lots of equipment, so it feels cramped.

Unfortunately, very dirty/ dusty, unkept gym. And not in the gym rat grudge gym type of way. Go if you have to but I’d drive a little further to another anytime.

Clean, good staff, lots of equipment so there are no problems even when it's busy, and a GREAT location.

I don’t know if there’s a staffing issue but there’s never any staff members during normal hours which is frustrating because I’m trying to replace my key fob but I can’t.

Edit #2: Brad fraudulently signed me up for a membership without my consent, and Reese is refusing to cancel my membership despite the fact that I never agreed to any membership. DO NOT VISIT THIS GYM FOR ANY REASON. I will be contacting my lawyer shortly and suing.Edit:This gym has tried to charge my credit card for multiple $100+ transactions despite my never signing up for a membership. I have no idea why these charges are going through and had to cancel and replace my credit card. Avoid this gym at all costs!Original Review:This Anytime Fitness is one of the smallest gyms I've ever seen, and I don't think I would enjoy working out here if got any busier than it was when I visited. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to work out here, as Brad talked my ear off when I mentioned I was looking for a gym to hit up while I was in town to visit family. Goals, workout history, membership plans, personal training--WOOF! Before I knew it I missed my window and had to leave. I specifically mentioned I was looking for a day pass or week pass specifically, so consider yourself warned if that is what you're looking for. Also worryingly, I lost the fob I was given after Brad asked to write down its specific number, and when I couldn't locate it, I called Brad. Brad couldn't locate it either, which I find...odd. Overall, a very mixed first impression, and I would fully consider all other training options in the area before I return here.

After visiting for 4 days the key fob I was given would not let me enter the gym. I was told they froze the account in order to charge me in May instead of charging me halfway through April as agreed. They charged me $200 and would not issue a refund for an account they froze and didn't give me access to for 3 weeks. Trash gym. Trash people.

Attempted to use a 7day free trial at this location and on the first day was treated like nothing but a sale. Immediately was talked into a membership which I didn't mind so much because that was ultimately my intention. I was asked to pay $40 of a $200 startup fee on the first day... wasn't able to complete the 7day trial first or anything. I was told the remaining $160 would be charged to my debit card 2 weeks later. First day asking for money. After 7 days my membership was "frozen" by Brad and I was unable to use either of the locations in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. I wasn't charged the remaining $160 until 4 weeks after our initial conversation, randomly and was also sent an invoice for personal training that I was persuaded to sign up for as well THE FIRST DAY. When trying to cancel they make it seem like you have to come in to the gym to cancel just to try and talk you into extending the membership or freezing the payments further. To top it all off I was told I could not receive a refund on the $200 startup fee because they don't offer refunds LOL... for a membership I only had access to for 7 days. Terrible customer service. Convenient gym but there are much better options locally for the same price, even less. DO NOT SIGN UP.

Started coming to this location because I had grown so disgusted with the upkeep of the Ypsi location. Having been here a few times now, I'm starting to wonder if anyone ever cleans anything. I read an older comment about cleanliness and wonder if their janitor was let go. There are cobwebs on the dumbbell rack, so much dust and lint on the curl bar rack that I could knit a sweater, and the fronts of the treadmills are also dust covered. There are like 10 televisions in the place, but only one is on - its at least better than ypsi in that regard. The bathrooms had TP scattered across the floor. Another empty members board in the hall, some info on chalkboard. The vending machine here was also non-functioning. Just very underwhelming. The nice wood platforms for deadlifting and squatting that are represented in the pictures are also no longer there. I did like that the equipment was a bit more diverse at this location. But I think I'll continue my search on where to call my home when it comes to fitness, this isn't it.

I absolutely love this gym. Best place I've had a membership yet. Always open, clean, and a great selection of weights and machines. Don't utilize them myself, but the trainers are knowledgeable and friendly.
