The office staff are amazing. They are very caring and kind. I can't say the same for the people who follow up with you after your appointment. One of the medications they recommended I bring home with my dog gave her violent diarrhea for three days straight. I had to take off work to clean diarrhea off my floor every hour and take my dog out as often as I could. I contacted the office on the first day (2/7) and they told me to stop giving her the medications and contact them once it stops. I also contacted the person serving as a liaison between the vet and me. Both of those times, I explained via text message the issue. While my dog had the diarrhea, I could not feed her anything unless I planned to be home and available to take her out for the next 8 hours, or be mentally prepared to clean up more excrement. I received a voicemail from the liaison on the 9th mentioning my dog vomiting. I never said anything about vomit and I didn't call her back because I was frustrated that this random detail magically appeared and because I prefer written communication for many reasons, such as making sure details like that are not mistaken. I also made that known to the liaison.I received a follow up phone call on the 10th from the office which went to voicemail, asking how my dog was doing and again mentioned vomiting when I never said anything about vomiting. I received a text message from the office on the 15th urging me to schedule a follow-up appointment for the booster shot and some more testing they feel needed to be done, while repeatedly calling my dog "he" instead of "she." The he/she thing is only an issue because to me it shows the carelessness towards my dog, seeing as it says on her chat that she is a female. Having finally calmed down from what I considered lack of attention to detail, I responded. I let them know I was only interested in pain management from that point forward due to the lack of communication and care that I felt was necessary during this issue.Their response beginning with, "I'm very sorry you feel that way" was more than enough to solidify that my senior dog and I need some more hands on care that an office with remote employees might not be able to provide. I also was kind of peeved by the fact that I had been mentioning to the liaison that my dog's skin is most likely infected again due to the snow scratching her wounds. At my last appointment, I mentioned it again and was not prescribed any antibiotic treatments. Her wounds look worse and I have two expensive medications I'm afraid to give her because I'm mentally exhausted from cleaning up so much diarrhea in those three days. It started to feel like they cared more about selling follow-up services than the health of my dog.

They were VERY responsive via text, I could get my dog in quickly, their team was very nice too. Unlike some places, they don't tell you how much tests or suggested meds cost prior to going forward, but the costs were reasonable. The video chat with the vet while two techs were in the room with me was a novel approach to the experience, but I feel that my old dog was well taken care of, and I'll use them again.

This vet hospital is cutting edge, and I’m extremely grateful to everyone who has made my dog’s experience a phenomenal one. I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Junco and the excellent vet technicians and other office staff who were warm and welcoming experts. Thank you very much, Easthaven!

Great care at Easthaven. Today's group accommodated me and my 2 goldens who I thought were getting follow up for previous ear infections/concerns. I apparently booked a nurse appointment. The staff was great and ensured that the dogs got the care they needed. They are also incredibly patient and sensitive to my anxious dog. They did get with her and as a result she did great!

We've reached a difficult time in my elderly dog's health journey. We may have to make a very sad decision soon. The staff that worked with us were informative, competent, and compassionate while remaining upbeat. We have other pets that are/were patients here, as well, and we have always been very happy with our experiences.

A few years ago I switched to Easthaven with my 2 cats and 1 dog since my partner’s dog goes here and it’s closer than our previous vet. Maybe they have local on-site veterinarians, but we’ve always been set up with a telehealth vet out of state. They have all been fine, and nursing staff examines the pet and communicates this to the vet in the appointment. I realize there’s a shortage of veterinarians nationwide, and I’m okay with creative solutions, especially since I’ve found the nursing staff to be caring and relatively good with my pets. However, the pricing has just radically increased. My elderly cat has a medical condition which requires testing every 6 months. In January 2023 this was $133, but this week it was over $500. I understand that prices increase, but this kind of astronomical increase seems like price gouging. While my cat is absolutely worth the $500+ fee, I don’t like feeling that we’re being taken advantage of.

Our cat and I met Dr. Abigail, Katie and Allison. He is very frightened of strangers, but not them! Detailed physical exam and vaccinations updated, without issue! There is nothing like a great veterinary team!

Booked my cat Maise a requested return visit to insure her UTI was gone. I was going for a recheck of her urine, not another exam which traumatized her. The two assistants/techs appeared extremely inexperienced compared to Maise’s first visit, not handling her well at all. They asked if they could check her urine. I was charged extra for an unauthorized ultrasound. Yes, I understand the rising cost of pet care, but this clinic is really good on making sure they keep the owner in the dark about any charges until after procedures are done. I’ve never gone to a vet clinic that couldn’t give you a breakdown of costs for suggested procedures before administrating care. Never going back!

Good environment. But a lot of redundant tests. And quite pricy to be honest.I understand the cost for things are rising but this clinic is not doing a good job communicating the necessity of the tests. Our kitten was tested for FeLV while we are there getting her the FeLV vaccine. Tested for worm when dewormer is also used. Tested for leukemia when we already told the vets the kitten has been tested negative just a few weeks ago. They suggested unnecessary anxiety treatment and I have to say no twice to ensure that does not go on my bill. Will not go back. Will not recommend.

I started taking my first dog here 15 years ago as it was in close proximity to my house and the doctors were attentive and fair, but it has changed drastically. From the Veterinarians not being present in the room with the animal most of the time and rather on a monitor via zoom or whatever platform they use, to taking advantage of people by charging absolutely astronomical prices, I will be taking my animals elsewhere.I just took my cat in who needed stitches on a wound he had under his leg. There was actually a doctor there this time and not a vet on a screen, imagine that! They quoted me between $1100-$1800! When I told them it was too much, they came back with a different scenario that was between $600-$900. Which I reluctantly accepted. And of course the final bill was much closer to $900 than $600 ($866). So this is my point, if I hadn't advocated for myself, they wouldn't have told me there were other options, which I feel is the definition of taking advantage of someone. They know that people will do anything for their pets and are taking advantage of that compassion and the pets misfortune! I'm sure there are many people who are traumatized by the state of their pets, if injured or sick, and don't advocate for themselves when it comes to price and they just pay whatever bill is put in front of them, whether it put them in a bad situation financially or not. They know this and take advantage of it!! I know they aren't the only clinic that does this either, most corporate clinics do because it's only about money, not the well being of their clients or pets. But there are clinics that don't as well and I will be seeking one of these out.And yes I understand that having pets and taking care of their medical bills can be expensive, but there is a difference between providing a fair service and taking advantage of people for every cent you can!I also take my pets to the Humane Society of Huron Valley clinic and don't have any of these problems there at all!! It's great there, the only issue is that they are so busy that they cannot get your pet in quickly.Anyone have any suggestions on a good Vet in Ann Arbor ?P.S. I never write reviews! I felt compelled to write this one though!

Easthaven has been amazing with helping me manage the wellness of my pups! Everyone we interact with is professional, extremely helpful (I'm a first-time dog person), and clearly an animal lover. They're great at navigating my drama queen pup, too!!

My cat Connor was experiencing bloody vomit and they got me in asap. Very thorough and moderately priced compared to other hospitals. Even gave me free cans of prescription cat food to start for his pancreas. Very happy and they even did a check up call on him. Highly recommend.

Our pup is our family and I wholeheartedly trust the team at EastHaven with him. Levon, our 1-year-old Rottie-Sheperd mix, had a really rough start when we adopted him but with the care, knowledge, and skills of the EH team, he is back to full health! The facility is clean and welcoming. The staff is kind, caring and go above and beyond to make our fur baby comfortable, and are so lovely whenever I have a question. I can not say enough good things about our experience at this vet clinic. If you're in the Ann Arbor/ Ypsi area, this is the only team I would trust when your pet is a part of your family.
