“Gretchen is a reason to come back to the Dixboro General Store. Not that the wonderful product selection and generally lovely energy of the store wasn’t enough but I really appreciated her conversation, assistance and demeanor. I’ve been into the Dixboro General store a few times in the last month getting gifts for Christmas and have had a wonderful experience each time. I have verbally recommended this place to friends and I’ve also shared amongst guests I’ve taken care of while I was waiting/serving down the road at the Dixboro Project(be it clear; there’s no connection of the two establishments, besides the name of the area they’re in).They change their inventory to my understanding 4 times a year to provide a fun one stop shop to get all of the things you might need to prepare for a new season. Lots of lovely home good items and various items to decorate your space. Love to visit, even though I no longer am working at the restaurant down the road, Rocky and I will still be back to visit the Dixboro General Store and Gretchen!!”

“I’ve always had a good time coming down to ye old cherry republic Since their revamp it’s been great a great success. you can now now try sample wine flights and take sip cups to go while enjoy the Downtown Ann Arbor sights! If you’re not keen on drinking don’t worry they have r many samples sprawled around the shop of their other products. Don’t be shy feel free to try”

“Amazing little shop. Prices are not marked up like most shops in this area and are honestly very reasonable. So much to look at and soak in. The nice lady who was running the store was extremely friendly and helpful. We bought earrings and a bracelet for my wife that were very colorful and affordable. We also bought my daughter a bracelet. After some more shopping around the area we eventually returned to shop and were able to find our oldest son an OM wind chime we think he will find interesting. Would recommend and will return.”

“Visited this neat shop (on a whim) in celebration of my birthday and wife's permission to get myself something interesting. This proved a great old store with exactly the extraordinary collection of things we were hoping to find today, and lucky to stumble into. I ended up with a barn owl wooden puzzle display piece befitting of my particular style and search for quality (and yes, I found the mouse)! My wife celebrated too, in finding herself a unique nesting doll in her color and personality. We also found posh soaps and had a friendly chat with the clerk about the area and this wonderful place. Whimsy fulfilled, fond memory collected. Highly recommend for both the local resident and the next out of town rambler.”
