Sandy has been my stylist for almost 20 years and she is literally the only person I trust with my hair. If I can't book with Sandy, I cut my hair myself. I've never found another stylist that understands my personal style more than Sandy. I can't say enough good things about her services.

Showed up after 4pm like I was told to meet Sandy who would go over my consultation for my dreads and the door is locked, no one is answering the door or the phone. I drove 50 mins for this. I’m not pleased to say the least. This is some bull spit. Waste my time thanks. 🙃😖

I have thick coarse wavy hair. I had an impossible issue of a spot on my hair that was so matted I literally didn’t know what to do and thought I’d only be able to cut it out. Called around. No one was really helpful. Until, that is, I called grateful dreads. Let me start with how it began. Called grateful dreads, they picked up on the first ring. The owner told me they had a specialist and to set up the appt with her. Again the specialist answered immediately. I sent a picture of my issue and she estimated about 3-5hrs. It turned out it was an 8hr issue and they went above and beyond for a delicate and sensitive situation. They saved me. Truly grateful. The name lives up. Quitting my other salon for color and touch ups to come back for a “curly cut” and color. I can’t wait.

Sandy charges $100/hr but took multiple 30min+ breaks, took multiple phone calls, frequently stopped to talk to her employees, etc. She dragged my normal 2.5-3hr appointment out for 5 hours. She also had a crying baby in her salon. I've been a client of Sandy for 5+ years; I have always paid the discussed cost for the extensions upfront, as well as extra money for partial labor cost. But Sandy spent that extra money for partial labor cost on VERY light blonde extensions w/o my consent and that we've never discussed in my 5yrs of going to her. She put me on the spot by pressuring me to upsell colors I never said I wanted or said yes to. Sandy didn't even ask before gluing them in, she just glued one in saying "isn't this cute?" and continued gluing them in. Sandy has known me for over 5yrs, she knows how bad my anxiety is as I've opened up to her a lot about myself over the years. In my opinion, Sandy knew I would be too scared to say anything and took advantage of that. Then when I expressed concerns about charging me for the multiple breaks she took & wanting her to dye the light blonde highlight extensions; Sandy became extremely aggressive and threatened to call to cops on me. Don't come here unless you want overpriced botched hair.

Phew, goodness for a business owner you should be better at resolving conflicts. Instead of talking crazy on your Google review responses just don't say anything or respond with something generic. Your responses just turn people off.Service: Dreadlocks

What a WONDERFUL experience. I went in there with my dreads A MESS. 5yrs of loose hairs, Some 14" dreads. Some 3" dreads. It was something, and I came out with perfectly layered (just like I envisioned) tight, beautiful locs. Dread upkeep and dread extensions most definitely is an art and Sandy has it mastered. I enjoyed the conversations, the jams, and the positive environment. Grateful Dreads really lives up to the name.

Very unorganized and unprofessional place. Owner seems to care until you're unhappy or she needs to fix something. All she cares about is taking your money! She does not care to evaluate what is best for your hair type. She will do anything to take your money. $100/hour? For what? Her avoidance in handling or hearing concerns is alarming. She would nit even answer her phone to allow me to make an appointment, rather in the background told the person who answered to say "what does she want?" She responded through texting as long as she thought I was going to spend more money, and that's sad. My hair is very damaged at this point and I will never return nor would I recommend this place to anyone!Services: Braids
