Been renting here for years but the last year their service has been horrendous. Took me almost 2 Hours to get a car. 2 hours sitting there for a rental!!! One guy at the desk and seems to be the only one working. Hertz so something because this place needs help now!! Worst management of a company I have seen. I will be taking my business somewhere else because I can’t afford to sit for 2 hours waiting for a car.

Wish I had looked into the reviews before going there. Worst service you can get. They will just try to rob you and once they rob you there way of talking will change completely. You will get to see they rudeness which is on next level.

If you have an out of state license with an in state address, don’t rent here. The manager Brian may call the police on you, telling them that your license is fake.I sat in this hertz for three hours and had to speak to two officers. One asked Brian, “how can we prove that it’s fake in court?” All Brian could do is hand him the phone to speak to the security team. I told him and the officers that I have a passport at home but I would need a ride to go get it. I had receipts from the DMV on my phone proving that my license was legitimate. I booked this rental with a corporate discount code I received from my job with the government. I had a hertz loyalty account for at least a year that I booked this rental with. I had rented from this same hertz a year ago with no issue. I rented with my new license (with my local address) at another hertz in town and left without the police being called on me. Eventually the police leave after I assume, running my license in their system and for 15 minutes Brian was cleaning a Tesla model 3 for me because the model Y I paid for was damaged (as per his phone call at 8am).When I finally leave in a vehicle that wasn’t what I prepaid for, I noticed half way up the street that the registration and inspection expired in September. I brought the vehicle back and he swore that the system said the system said the tags are current but it would take him some time to find the new stickers. For six months that vehicle had expired stickers and nobody noticed? I would have been pulled over and potentially gone through the same thing if not worse while u traveled to my competition. The part that makes this my last time renting with hertz is that nowhere in the ordeal did anybody apologize or offer a resolution. I understand why my license was “flagged” by security and that Brian was doing what he was trained to do. However, isn’t taking accountability for your mistakes basic customer service? I’ve worked in industries that required me to scan IDs to verify the validity and when we encountered a fake one, we told the customer “we cannot serve you.” If Brian told me that and suggested I call the security team myself to figure out why, I would not be writing this review. If Brian apologized, if anybody working there apologized I wouldn’t be so angry and escalating this as far as I possibly can. This traumatizing and humiliating experience is why I will never rent from a hertz again and I highly recommend people consider this situation when they rent from this hertz as well. I’m very thankful that the officers who responded to his frivolous call did their due diligence instead of taking his word at face value.Edit for update 3/7: I brought the car back on 3/4 and spoke to the district manager, also named Brian. He apologized and asked for a time to call me to I guess rectify the issue. I never received a call. I contacted hertz corporate again, letting them know that there was no offer of a resolution from management and received SIX calls from hertz within 15 minutes. I told hertz (via twitter DM) that this last ditch effort is reeking of performative customer service and I’m no longer interested in rectifying this matter internally. Hertz corporate gave me points worth a “free day” of a rental for the “inconvenience.” Today I received my finalized receipt and they lied saying I returned the rental to the Gerald Ford Airport in Grand Rapids, charging me $75. I am no longer interested in speaking with anybody from hertz on this matter. I gave them multiple chances and they failed every time.

Ryan was so kind pleasant and a pure joy. I rented a vehicle today from this location. I greatly appreciate the wonderful customer service that Ryan extended. He went above and beyond being kind. The vehicle was super clean and smelled delightful. Thank you Ryan.

Have been booking rentals for years and I can say that this is the worst rental place. No proper customer service, employees with unreasonable attitude.I booked a car that was supposed to be picked at 6pm, was there at 5:58pm, when the employee saw us coming he locked the door on our face and ran like a culprit running from cops into the back room. We didn't pick the car but they kept charging our credit card. When we went there to talk, the employees (one of them I think never smiled in his life) were not ready to talk to us saying that they are not concerned about past and will only talk to us if we have a present pickup. And the other guy was proudly commenting that it was me who closed the door on your face and was smiling he achieved something big.

The staff were amazing, especially Caesar! I'll definitely rent from here again in the future! The picking up and dropping off process was easy and I had no issues!

Scam charges. Terrible customer service. Employees act like angry children. This branch will charge you hundreds of dollars more than your rental for nonsense fees without saying a word to you (read the other reviews), then they will call you names, like children, when you challenge the extra charges. There's a reason this branch is rated only 3 stars. Save yourself money and aggravation, use a different company.

I have rented vehicles from the Washtenaw location multiple times. The employees have been helpful even when there have been some unforeseen challenges. I originally used this location due to proximity, but will continue going here due to the customer service.

Unethical Staff which of course covers saying very poor customer services . Dirty cars you’ll need to go straight to the car wash . Try a different location or down the road there’s a prestigious Enterprise Car rental ( 2 mins) .Avoid hassle and headaches. Good luck

Made reservation. Went 15mins to start process. They had no cars, only electric cars. Pointlessness! They were very bland and careless about the situation. Went to enterprise around the corner and got a car without a reservation.Do not waste your time here!

I took my son here to get his car. I asked him how was his service because he was done so quick. He stated that his service was excellent no issues. He was glad we drove 45mins to this location.

The staff were nice & trying very hard. The rest was chaos. The car I got had 2 tires with really low pressure, 3/4 tank gas. I wish I had known there was a CD player in the car, could have found some mix CDs.
