Moving our son into UMich from Baton Rouge, Louisiana took some planning ahead. Through the class 2027 UMich Facebook site, I found out about John’s pack and ship. I was impressed with how simple they made the process. They sent the necessary box’s and labels and when we arrived at Markley Dorm we had about 10 boxes waiting. It was extremely easy to send from a 3rd party vendor as well. I can not emphasize enough how seem less this process was. I will certainly continue to use their services!

Poor service, does not deliver on promised date and leaves packages downstairs when they are supposed to bring it to your room.Had to wait for a second delivery

The WORST customer service in the world. The owner is rude and does not own up to mistakes. He was belligerent and resorted to name calling. DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will never use again

John’s pack and ship exceeding our expectations. Moving our son from Los Angeles to Ann Arbor felt like a daunting task and then a friend told me about John’s pack n ship. I sent all of my sons dorm necessities from Amazon and fromHome to John’s and they were waiting for us inside the dorm room when we arrived on move in day. NoNeed for large blue containers. No need to worry about stairs etc. No need to run around to multiple istores in town looking for shower caddies and unserved storage. I sent everything in July and then all we had to do was open the boxes and put everything away. I only wish this service had existed 30 years ago when I was at school.

A+ service and a seamless delivery of my daughter’s boxes. Her experience with John’s company from start to finish was top notch! We will definitely be using them again for next year’s storage.

If I could give this place negative 5 stars..I would. I had arranged a pre-paid pickup and ship request for 6 packages to be sent from Ann Arbor, MI to Pittsburgh, PA. The request was initiated on July 18th, 2020 and the prepayment amount was between $280-$300.All 6 shipments were supposed to be shipped by UPS and reach Pitt in 2-3 days (as indicated by John). 4 packages were delivered at different days between July 22-July 24, 2020. 2 packages were lost by UPS (based on the tracking number). We discussed this with John & David. They asked me to send the listing of contents (since the shipper has to file the claim). The med student lost a lot of expensive medical equipment and now she has to find alternate ways to fund the replacement of her equipment. My biggest concern is the complete lack of follow up, responsiveness and pathetic customer service from John and David. John's demeanor is abrupt and rude in all forms of communication (phone or email). David seemed ok on the phone (when we spoke to him once). But nowadays, these guys do not return nor respond to voice mails (forget answering calls). UPS has apparently communicated with John's pack & Ship regarding the claim, but I have no communications from them. I continue to send them emails asking for an update. As we all go through these difficult COVID times, we expect some basic empathy for the patrons. We expect more mature and seasoned personnel in a company to address customer issues (I hear this company has been around for some time). Overall, very poor and substandard experience with John's Pack and Ship. I recommend that you save your dollars and pick a reliable packer/Shipper. Next stop, BBB...for both this group and UPS. Please feel free to drop me a note if you need more details. I had arranged 6 items to be picked up and shipped from Ann Arbor to Pittsburgh,PA. The packages were supposed to reach Pitt in 3-4

Super friendly and great service. Honestly one of the best student moving services in the area. They have a commercial contract with the University of Michigan, so they are trust worthy. They are able to set up stations, right in the dorms, to make the service as easy as possible for all students. They offer services like, "John's moms" where an actual mom will help you pack up your packages for storage or shipping. Most of the other feed back I have heard, is that they are expensive, so they are not for students with a tight budget. You can even ship items to them before you arrive and have them delivered, its called "Porter Service."

*DO NOT TRUST WITH YOUR ITEMS*John's "Pack & Ship" is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. John and his company feel they can get away with anything since they have the University of Michigan’s stamp of approval. Regardless of John and his team's poor communication, price gouging, and losing/damaging countless students' property, John is dishonest and arrogant - not a successful combination for anyone trying to run a business.

Horrible company, received some of the worst customer experience possible. This company price gauges students and is completely unprofessional in communication. I highly recommend looking for other packing/shipping options.

We live on the West Coast and worked with John's Pack & Ship during the 4 years our daughter attended the University of Michigan to ship, store and pack her belongings. The company is very professional, trustworthy, reliable and moderately priced. Their services exceeded our expectations. Even though they worked with 100's of customers and requests at the same time, especially during busy move-in and move-out periods, they never missed a beat with us and never lost or damaged any of my daughter's belongings. I highly recommend using John's if you have a need for their services. You will be very pleased with your decision.

Used them for move in to the dorms and moving out which was very complicated since there were multiple categories of what is stored for next year what was stored for summer program to be delivered to apartment and what was to be shipped home- everything was as it was supposed to be. On time and with a lot of assistance. Will use all four years.

Moved two boxes into my dorm room for the beginning of school. The boxes were handled pretty well and I didn't lose anything in the process. They even were able to place my boxes in my room for no additional charge even though I forgot to provide my rooming assignment until a week before. Only thing was that my scale was broken during the trip (unsure if it was them or UPS) and when I tried calling them during move-in days to confirm some details, they never picked up the phone or responded to emails. Price is pretty good for the size dimensions and is definitely cheaper than flying it over in suitcases. Would recommend and use again!

We were very pleased with this company these past 17 months. John and the moving "moms" were there when we were in crisis during the covid lockdown and the John’s mom was great in talking to us via video as she packed. Then, during storage, whenever we had a question, John promptly answered. Delivery to the house on campus went very smoothly. How lucky we feel to have found you and this company. We will certainly recommend this company to others. Keep up the great work in making college students and their parents happy during somewhat stressing times!Go Blue!

We live out of state were sending first child to college. JPS made it easy to send all our stuff so we didn’t have to rent a car and drive. Everything was waiting for us in her dorm when we arrived. We didn’t have to lift a finger. They will definitely be our GO TO when we have to ship and store her things in the future. Thanks to the crew at JPS for taking the stress out of the process for us! ❤️

They are very over priced . Returned my boxes damaged so you can tell they did not handle with care. They held my boxes for 3 weeks and charged me $1000 .Update: This is your label and I had well under 20 boxes and I packed my own boxes.
