I come here regularly for the last three months with in the last three months i bought food 3 separate times I have bought and food that has been expired. The expiration dates have been a month to 3 months expired. I've had no other problem with any other krogers. Thank God my kids and I have not gotten sick. Would not recommend this store.

Not sure what it is about this Kroger specifically, but it is always very chaotic from parking lot through to checkout. I’ve lived on the west side of Ann Arbor for 9’years and this Kroger has always been, to put it bluntly, a figurative and literal mess.
The staff seems pleasant and I’ve never had any issues there, but every time I’ve shopped there, at least 65% of the self checkout lanes are out of order with one or two in-person lane operational. It’s stressful even contemplating shopping there. Even though it’s our 2nd closest grocery store, but we opt for Aldi or Busches. If we’re really time-pressed, we’ll choose Arbor Farms, despite the exorbitant prices there.
The parking lot is almost always congested, and items are difficult to find in-store. Check-out always is lines long, yet the store somehow feels empty and extremely understaffed. The staff always seems extremely melancholy, too. Weird vibes all around. Hard to explain, you have to experience it for yourself.
I think Kroger’s corporate HQ should look into conducting a review of this location and instituting operational, logistical, technical, and architectural updates. This is a prime neighborhood for a grocery store, but this location is driving people away.

Somewhat small isles, but large selection of products, lots of self check out lanes

I wish I could give zero stars, do not shop here. Nothing is properly priced, I find on almost every trip some sale item doesnt ring up properly. Im usally making small purchases but imagine someone with hundreds of dollars in groceries trying to be budget friendly, and all the prices are wrong, multiply this by hundreds of transactions that no normal human being could pay attention to. This is a huge scam that probably is secretly making kroger huge amounts of money. Thank goodness they hired all those extra security guards to sit on there phones all day though.

Anyone else think the new Kroger logo looks like the creator played Frogger in their younger years? Might as well sneak a little toad in the next version of the Koger logo to make sure it wasn't a mistake and I'm not reading into things. Once you see it you cannot unsee it.

I used to shop at Kroger more often, but my experience has been disappointing lately. The store is often crowded, the checkout lines are long, and some items seem overpriced compared to competitors. Additionally, I've noticed issues with cleanliness and organization—especially in the produce section.
What really bothers me, though, is the EV chargers in the parking lot. They are either broken, poorly maintained, or simply unavailable. As an EV owner, having access to reliable charging while I shop is a big factor in where I choose to spend my money. Kroger has a chance to attract eco-conscious customers by fixing this issue, but the lack of action is frustrating.
I would frequent Kroger more if they took customer feedback seriously and addressed these concerns, especially with the EV chargers. Until then, I'll be shopping elsewhere.

I grew up in the area and still remember this place when it first opened. It has definitely gone downhill since. I used to love the Kroger selection they had and reasonable prices. But we’re in a different time. I now choose to support businesses that actually care about their customers. You can tell me Aldi only cares about making money, but you’d be wrong, their twice as nice guarantee is just one example of the way they put their customers satisfaction first. I’m writing this review because today I got groceries there and it was one of the worst checkout experiences ever. My cashier, marked Azfer on my receipt, didn’t utter a single word to me the entire checkout process other than to thank me for bagging my own groceries. I could forgive the way he put my freshly made sushi at the bottom of a bag and proceeded to pile on frozen bags of chicken on top of it, the sushi was still edible so whatever. But when I got home I realized not a SINGLE item on my receipt was marked down or on sale. This is because while I was helping the cashier by bagging my own groceries, I never had the chance to enter my rewards number. And the cashier never asked if I had a Kroger card, I thought that was mandatory, I know they ask at Meijer. As a result, almost every single item I purchased was higher than the price advertised because so many (if not all) of their items are marked as on sale. Are you starting to see how Kroger only cares about their profits and not about their customers? All because I forgot to enter my rewards number I got completely screwed out of upwards of $60-$80. This is an issue I NEVER have at Aldi or Trader Joe’s, and many others. In fact, even Walmart doesn’t require you to submit to their data farming rewards program like Kroger. It’s one thing to deal with higher grocery prices thanks to inflation, but experiences like this are just infuriating. I will not shed a tear when this Kroger shuts down, I will celebrate as other people, especially those that live paycheck to paycheck, find the wonderful world of grocery stores like Aldi who care about their customers more than their profits.

Customer service desk is almost never open. You'd be lucky if you waited less than an hour for someone to bother showing up.

Terrible customer service, terrible attitudes from the staff, excessively long lines for the self checkout, no registers open bc they don’t want to pay people to cashier.
There’s hardly any produce in stock anymore, a lot of it is bad, the self-checkout machines mess up without fail, and the staff treats you like a criminal for it. The gates they have in front are annoying and unnecessary.
This was a decent supermarket before the pandemic, I’m done with it now. I sincerely hope that they shut down soon and that we can get a halfway decent grocery store instead, that actually respects its customers and staff.

The only reason they are getting 1 star, is because it wouldn't let me give them a lower rating. The customer service desk was closed. When I asked when it would re-open, I was told, NOT TODAY! the Management us aweful!

I have contacted the office of the Secretary of State- I encourage you do also. I was told that IF AGAIN your conglomerate of retailing is compromised; merely scanning the back of the states drivers license~is enabling a access to all the information. That means, past states of the holders licensing, addresses etc.. Enough information to "steal" a identity. Do not lie to us and say- " You give more information when you get a stores membership" . That is incorrect, and the ONLY reason that is said is to pacify a individual to keep the lines moving. Today, I had at self check out a cashier at the Maple store completely ignore me when I objected to scanning my license and to by "hand" put in verification of my age to purchase tobacco. When, she DID. I raised my voice. Being ignored at 68 yrs of age- after I had specifically told her DO NOT and she did. She acted injured and got her manager. He was kind, and told me she COULD have put my birthdate in by hand. Hey, why can't you have a specific birthdate a cashier can manually put in for those of us that have had their identities taken in the past and DO NOT want our bar code on the back of a INTERNATIONALLY identification card. ?? Like a passport there is ALOT associated with that bar code.

Came here to cash a check. Walked in the front doors and was assaulted by the smell of something spoiled permeating the whole store; I don't know if it was sour milk or bad meat, but something smelled FOUL! Waited for 10 minutes at the money counter, was told by 2 cashiers that "it will be just a minute" because they apparently couldn't find the person who was supposed to be working there. I finally had to leave because the smell was making me nauseated.

Really disappointing to see this store continue to get worse. Corporate/management is really setting up their staff to be constantly struggling because they are perpetually understaffed, especially in the register area. Profit over people personified.

Used this store a few times while visiting Ann Arbor. If they hired a few employees it could be ok but it was terribly under staffed both times I went in.
