I love this facility. The building is super clean. The bathrooms are super clean. The staff are always kind and patient. The energy here is elderly in the early hours, and family in the later hours - I never feel intimidated or nervous here. They offer a variety of affordable membership rates. They offer several classes, like Water Aerobics, Judo, Yoga, Line Dancing, and more - also affordable, and you don't need a membership for most, if not all. They have an large double gym, locker rooms with showers and a swimsuit dryer, large pool, an indoor track (12 laps is a mile), a cardio room, a weight room. There is also 128 acres of land behind the facility where you can walk or run several different fitness trails. The only thing I wish they had was standard barbell and plates. There isn't really room for it. They offer a free course teaching how to use each machine in the facility.

Pickleball nazis. Learn the rules or they will yell at you how to play, how you can't practice. Rules are not posted. My daughter and I wanted to practice and despite open courts, you are not allowed to do so.
Otherwise 5 stars for the facilities. It's affordable. The machines are nice, a little dated but plenty of choices. The pool is mostly for swimmers or lessons.
Until you are a semi profesional pickle ball player, avoid.

I recently enrolled my five-year-old son in the swim school at Meri Lou Murray Rec Center and I must say, it has been an absolutely fantastic experience. The facility is top-notch, with a clean and modern pool area that provides a safe and comfortable environment for the children. The staff at the center are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience enjoyable for both my son and myself. But what really sets this swim school apart is the incredible teaching talent of EJ. He is an amazing instructor who truly has a gift for connecting with children and making them feel comfortable in the water. My son has taken to him immediately and has made tremendous progress in just a few short weeks. EJ's passion for swimming and his dedication to helping each child reach their full potential is truly inspiring.

The Mary Lou Rec Center is similar to the Y. They have a walking track, pool, gym, and court for racket ball. The ping pong table gets wild and competitive with some older gents that will pause when you walk by to the women's locker room that connects to the pool. The locker room area is always clean, the showers are hot, and there are plentiful lockers. They also have a rotating class schedule, including zumba, water aerobics, karate, and a lot of other things. I have tried the water aerobics classes, but I stopped during the winter because the pool wasn't warm enough for me. The Wednesday night water aerobics instructor is amazing.

Very big and spacious recreational center with so many things to do. There’s a large park behind it with additional recreational trails for walking or jogging and fitness stations. It’s a great place for affordable fitness enthusiasts. The location is also perfect for many living in central areas of the town.

Equipments are outdated and everywhere, hall, gym floor. Can't play pickleball or badminton bc there are soooo many ppl. Other young sports have inconvenient gym time. It's truly a senior citizen facility. It wasn't this way 20 yrs ago.

Nice people there. Beautiful place to get in shape… if you’re over 50 and look a certain way. Didn’t feel welcomed, won’t be going back ever and they’re probably happy about that

MLM Rec Center is affordable, clean as a whistle and everyone has been ultra mellow. You see all ages here; during the day, it's largely the 65+ crowd and more families in the evenings. That's part of what I dig about it. Wonderful courts that have basketball, pickleball, badminton and volleyball all year. I don't swim, but there is a lovely-looking pool area.Minor gripes: The facility could certainly be a little larger; the indoor track only has two lanes and as another review mentioned, there's no place really suitable for stretching other than the hallways. Vending machines have been out of order for months and water fountains are only for refilling bottles, so be sure to bring one.
