My husband and I have been coming to Sadako for 20 years. It’s our favorite sushi place! Great sushi, casual atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Their spicy salmon and avocado rolls are so simple, but perfection. The salad with ginger dressing is so good!

Best mix of value, taste, service and atmosphere that I’ve had at sushi bar in a long time. Wish they had real crab. Love the hand roll option for most rolls. Big rolls & FRESH fish!Vegetarian options: Kampyo!

This is my number one sushi place in Ann Arbor. In 2014-2018 when I lived in Ann Arbor/Ypsi, I’d find every excuse to come here! I believe it’s family owned and local to Ann Arbor. The sushi rolls are reasonably priced and always fresh tasting. I can’t not emphasize how much I love the spicy mayo and always get it on the side.Sushi rolls left to right (3rd pic): spicy tuna, fried Philly roll, sadako crunch roll (the best roll)

Came here for my friends birthday dinner and it was so yummy and affordable !! however they did not seat us until all 8 of us arrived which was difficult as some of us were running late. The restaurant is very cute and small, so it fills up pretty quickly but the turnover rate is pretty quick.

Great value! You get a lot of food for the prices here. Sushi isn't necessarily the best (not the freshest fish), but it's still good and again, great value. Soft Shell Crab appetizer - Tasty (as deep fried things tend to be) but the tempura batter was maybe just a bit too thick. Enjoyed the crunch though and the dipping sauce. Chicken Katsu - This is basically two full Chicken Katsu dinners in one dish. Look at the photo haha. It's a lot of food! Yellowtail Scallion Roll - This was my favorite of the three rolls we tried. Simple but can't go wrong. U of M Roll - Good roll featuring salmon, crab salad, cucumber, and avocado. Passion Roll - Not really a big fan of this kind of tuna. It's a bit closer to the tuna you find on sushi from the grocery store. Easy to get a table on a Tuesday around 7pm, but it actually got busier towards 8pm. We parked down the street in the Forest parking structure (paid).

I ate Bento, but it was overall greasy and I didn't like it. The price is also high. I wonder if there will be a repeat?

Unfortunately, I think this will be my last time ordering from here. I used to come eat in person weekly, and I was a known regular. The few times I would order carryout, I would be missing a sauce I paid extra for, but I tried to let it pass because it was post-Covid, and I myself have worked as a waitress and prepared all of the carryout orders at my family's restaurant since I was a teen, so I understand that there will be some mistakes. Tonight, my roommate and I ordered some sushi from Snackpass, and tipped almost $7. The roads aren't too great, especially in my neighborhood and by Sadako, but we figured a nice sushi takeout would be worth it. We got home, and realized that one of my rolls was missing, aka half of my order. The miso soup my roommate ordered was also cold. I called the restaurant, and the young guy on the phone talked to his manager, who said they could give me store credit for the next time that I would order. Didn't offer a refund, or to make the order and give me a slight discount for the inconvenience of having to drive back. I ended up getting a refund and am now hungry. Maybe I am being harsh because I have worked in the position, but whenever I made a mistake with carryout orders, I ALWAYS fully discounted it if I forgot an item, and even drove to customer's houses to deliver the food that I had forgotten. It's not like I was asking for that, but the service couldn't even give me the bare minimum of making the roll that I ordered. If you want sushi in Ann Arbor, I would recommend checking out Sushi Town instead, and support that small business over this one. Also, don't appreciate that the server got my $7, and I didn't get my meal.

Still the best sushi lunch spot in Ann Arbor just on the edge of campus. Worth the trek from downtown to the other side of campus near Huron. Parking seems to always be available or only a small wait for a meter on the street, though it is a very busy street. Their fish is fresh, portions are generous. I love the ginger dressing they use for the salad. Soup and salad is included for dine in with the order of a lunch combo or two rolls. The spicy fish bowl or Su & Sa bento are my favorite. The bento has a great assortment of items. The bowl is mostly fresh and cold. Much healthier when in the market for a healthier I bring my sushi kids here. Nieces, nephew and granddaughters. They love it too though we try to only go on weekends, as it's not as busy on the weekends around lunch time.
