When I visit Ann Arbor I shop the Salvation Army store looking for items to support my computer addiction, as well as Jerry Garcia neckties. I did find a few tech things and a tie. But time restraints kept me out of the 20 customers in front of me. Maybe next time 😁

One of my favs for clothing and books around A2! They're busy, so they move through a lot of inventory, which means you'll likely see new items each week. Pay attention to pricing on their everyday products - a lot of thrift stores have increased their prices indiscriminately, Salvation Army unfortunately has followed suit. You can still find good deals, just need to pay more attention.

One of the best thrift stores around. Always good deals.

I have to agree with the other reviews.. the prices are a bit much for a thrift store. I did manage to find some nice shoes for a good price.

Horribly rude to me when I was dropping off 2 neatly packed, large boxes of high value clothes / several bags full of neatly packed / washed bedding. The two men in front of me were both unloading their cars at the same time. When one of the SA workers abruptly shouted to only unload one car and bring the items inside at a time, they continued, but I tried to heed the command and unloaded my boxes but didn't bring them inside. When the worker noticed this, he came out and yelled at me until I stared publicly crying and the other men unpacking their cars expressed concern. When I finally moved my boxes to their unloading deck, I tried to ask for advice on filling out the valuation slip (I had brought an itemized list with me) and was flatly ignored, even though I asked multiple times. So, I don't even know if I filled it out correctly enough to get a tax write off. I've always gone into donating to thrift stores with a smile on my face, asking how I can help, etc. Worst experience I've ever had.

Very large thrift store with tons of stuff. You can often find good deals on shoes and home goods. However the employees aren’t always friendly, the store is always super packed and the parking lot is messy.

They need to remove the vending machines. It takes all of your change and is out of order but they don’t warn you & they have a sign saying they are not responsible. The number goes no where.

awful awful woman working there today. my group attended this salvation army around 4:30pm today, May 27th. At approximately 4:50pm, while browsing, I reached out to touch a dress on a lone rack in the middle of the store to quickly examine the pattern of it. I was unaware there was a rude, disheveled looking woman lurking behind the rack. She quickly and loudly snapped at me, “This rack is unavailable!” I nearly jumped out of my skin as I did not know there was someone watching me glance at an item on a rack in the store. I stated to her “I’m just looking, relax,” and began to briskly walk towards the exit (i will never been returning to this salvation again). One of my group members questioned to me “It’s unavailable?” The woman must have thought they were talking to her because she responded with “Yes, it’s unavailable!” in an incredibly snarky and disrespectful tone. Overall the experience was uncomfortable and by far the rudest thing I have had happen to me at a thrift store. this place needs to background check its employees. this woman was very obviously on some sort of substance.

Always one of our stops when we are thrifting in town. Huge warehouse, spacious aisles. There is color of the day sales. All clothes are sorted by gender, type of clothing and color only so you have to dig for your size. Prices are a little on the higher side for our taste but tremendous selection. The store is pretty organized. We have found some good finds. You just have to look.

Nice little Salvation Army store. Always busy! Lots of parking, kinda off the beaten path but don't give up, it is there. Prices are ok, clothing selection is big. Easy in and out.
