This is truly such a wonderful establishment. I went with my best friend to pick out her wedding dress and everyone who volunteers here is absolutely the best. We had such a great experience - Lisa was so knowledgeable and helped my friend pick the most perfect gown for her special day. All proceeds go to cancer research and funding for support for families, and overall this is just an incredible place to do business. I will recommend them for anyone else I know getting married. ❤️

They made me feel so comfortable and beautiful when trying on dresses. They didn't rush you or pressure you into buying. Great place with a great cause

Incredible customer service and a great cause. I can't wait to wear my dresses I bought her to my wedding and shower. The selection was great. The value was incredible but even better is the cause!

The service was truly a dream. Picked the first dress I tried on. I knew it was the one. IT WAS STUNNING! But the reason I gave it 3 stars is because seamstress didn't listen when I told her I was going to lose weight before the wedding. I told her to go in a size and she refused. I picked up my dress and it was big. She told me to get dress tap, remind you my dress is a good 20 pounds. I'm a small girl. 0-2 in pants. My dress was a size 2. My dress looked big on me. You could see my boobs because the front was so big.

Loved my shopping experience at The Brides Project. I only needed one stop here to find my dress. The woman assigned to walk us through the store was helpful and nice. Love that 100% of proceeds are donated. Ended up getting a dress which a retail value almost 2X as much as I paid. Nice selection of styles and sizes. Even bought some hair accessories. Spent about 900 dollars for my dress, hair pins, and garment bag. 10/10 would recommend.

I came here yesterday with one of my bridesmaids and my mom, with high expectations since friends had recommended the shop to me, and I wasn't disappointed. This was the 4th bridal store I visited, the other three being regular bridal shops (one in Howell, one in WB, and David's Bridal in Novi). I knew going in that all proceeds are donated to cancer charities, which is great; I didn't know that all the employees are volunteers, too. Our assistant was Lisa and she was great. In my two-hour appointment I probably tried on 5-7 dresses. Some weren't as "fancy" as I wanted (mostly the Torrid ones, but the prices were excellent; $50+) but I found two I really liked, and ended up buying one! For $450, which is about 1/4 the price of another dress I saw at one of the other shops and really liked. They do alterations there too - the shop itself allows credit cards but the seamstresses, who are also volunteers, just take cash or check. The shop advised me to come back about 3 months before my wedding to start the alterations process, so that would be June of next year. They told me they do cost-effective alterations, too, so this is where I'll be taking my dress. Overall super pleased with this store, and glad that their mission is so charitable, too.

I am so grateful this is where I purchased my wedding gown! The staff were amazingly kind and thoughtful, the dresses were gorgeous and affordable, and the money donated goes to an amazing cause. I highly recommend going to the Brides Project if you are either in need of a gown or would like to donate your gown <3 Photographer: MacLachlan Studio

I originally made my appointment as a "fact-finding" mission. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and no idea what would look good on me. I had anxiety of nothing would look good on me. The Brides Project is warm, welcoming, and fun. I never felt bad for not knowing what I wanted or expressing my opinion. And the dresses! Absolutely beautiful. I had sticker shock in the best way possible, how can these dresses be so affordable?? My fact-finding mission ending up with saying yes to the dress. I highly recommend this be a first stop when looking for a dress.

Loved coming here to find my dress. The gals helping me were super helpful and were able to locate the perfect dress when I described what I was looking for. They were also helpful with taking pictures and zipping/buttoning as needed since I was there on my own, and located a veil for me as well. They answered all my questions and were obviously passionate about the work they were doing!

Today I met my best friend at the brides project to pick out a dress for her elopement. My husband and I weren't even able to say hello to her before we were shoved out the door and into the rain with our newborn baby by the woman working. She said that babies are not allowed. My sleeping baby that was strapped to me in a baby carrier, causing absolutely no harm whatsoever. Absolutely will not recommend this place for the sole fact of how absolutely rude the staff is.

I had the absolute best time picking out my wedding dress at the Brides Project. They had an abundance of modern and beautiful dresses to choose from, all within great prices. Plus Margaret was a gem to work with! She had a ton of knowledge and was so patient with me. I am so happy with my wedding dress and overall experience. If you are a bride, I HIGHLY recommend shopping here first before going to the overly priced bridal shops.

The staff is amazing and the selection of dresses is unique and beautiful. And the fact it's non profit and money goes to local cancer groups is great. I found the perfect dress here and I will be bringing it back to continue to do my part!

I had the BEST time picking out my wedding dress at the Brides Project. I was drawn to them because of their mission and because I wasn't comfortable spending a lot of money on a wedding dress. The whole experience was so much fun. They have tons of dresses in many sizes. My consultant was so lovely. She knew what she was doing, encouraged me to try on different kinds of dresses, and helped me select the perfect dress for me. And I came in under my initial budget! I came in so much under budget that I was able to purchase a veil at the Brides Project as well. I'm looking forward to wearing my dress. I'm strongly considering eventually donating my dress as well!

Lots of dresses. Lots of sizes. Decent prices. Unfortunately did not get a dress because the one I loved could not be altered to be strapless. Saddddd
