Lovely place but the lady at the checkout was beyond rude, we got a price and then she said that was wrong and charged us 3x as much as we’d been told. She made sure to shame the guy who gave us the price to before checking us out. Also, my mom is disabled and they wouldn’t let her use the restroom, no like we’re sorry, just flat no. Like some price signs and a little kindness goes a long way.

Your “no bathroom for any customer ever” policy needs an update. Was told that we couldn’t use the bathroom (my 5 year old and me) because too many people abuse the bathroom.I didn’t know my 5 year old girl was a threat to the powder room at a thrift store.

Do not support this establishment! My cousin worked here for several months and was severely mistreated, as well as my aunt when she tried to address the situation. They are rude to their customers, as well (as you will see in many reviews here). Support organizations like Nu2u Again in Saline, Michigan who actually support the community and their employees!

I have dropped off numerous items to the Share house in the past. After today’s experience I won’t be back. When I arrived to drop off a box of books I explained that I couldn’t lift the box because I had surgery recently. The man who was supposed to be helping (I’m assuming he’s paid for this work) asked me how I got the box in my car. I explained my husband put the box in for me. He huffed off rudely and took off with the box. Being treated like that was unacceptable and unnecessary. I won’t be supporting them going forward.

Don’t donate here or shop. They do nothing for the community and deliberately don’t price anything so they can gouge you at the register. There will be items with original tags for $3.99 and they will try to charge you $10.00.

I absolutely love the share house I go all the time, but I’ve been noticing lately the prices for items vary drastically based off who is working the register that day. I went in and found some old music that I wanted to use for a collage last week, and the woman at the register said 6$ for the stack I had. I went back in 2 days later because I didn’t have enough to finish the collage, and when I went up to the register a different woman said they were 2$ each. When I mentioned I was just in 2 days prior and they had given me a stack for 6$ the worker said oh well I’ll have to mention it to her that they’re 2$ each. I ended up paying $25 for the stack I had. I really love this place and the workers are always very kind and helpful but the price changes are disappointing :(

Soooo incredibly rude every time I go in there. The lady at the register refused to give me a stamped coupon card because I “should have remembered mine” and she told me to make my wallet useful. When I finally convinced her to give me a stamp she flicked the card at me causing it to fall instead of handing it to me like an adult. Then she told me that I deserve her attitude for checking out 10 minutes before they close, the line wasn’t even long. I can’t think of any other store that makes you line up 15 minutes before they close to cash out. Their prices are a joke, they get everything for free but mindlessly price it to whatever. Also, they don’t always honor their sale signs. During my last trip here I bought something that had a $1 sticker on it and she charged me $3. Keep in mind I spend $150 during my shopping trip so they should be thankful for my business. This place used to be awesome, but the manager has got to go. I have never caused a stir in there, yet myself and others I know that shop there get this lady’s attitude every time.

Service is great, kind lady at the checkout has always offered a helping hand when needed. In MY opinion, pricing is very good. Always a good find here :) the reason why I left 4 stars is because they never say when they are closed online. I drove 30 minutes just for them to be closed when they said they were open. Also the mold on the ceiling is a big sign the cleaning isn't too good.

This thrift store might suit your taste or not. It's expansive, with sections for every imaginable item. I purchased numerous paintings, lamps, a few rugs, and even a brand-new carpet cleaner, all for under $100. A helpful guy in the basement provided clear prices on a ticket for me to take to the cashier. The cashier was delightful, and I'll definitely be back! Yes you have to dig a bit to find the good stuff but to me that's half the fun of thrifting!

Every review regarding this place and the manager at the front is true. She is extremely rude and needs to get her attitude in check. The on the spot pricing is quite ridiculous too. Don't go here if you plan to try to buy a jacket being that the prices are mostly $50 for used jackets. You can get a new jacket for less than this right around the corner at TJ Maxx or Sierra Trading Post. I couldn't imagine having this many negative reviews regarding one individual, but it seems the issue with this place is the lady at the front.

i really do love this place !!!! it is so so awesome and has so much stuff to choose from ! my personal favorite thrift store that i have EVER been to. lady working the front can be short, attitude and over estimate the prices - i recommend the guy that walks around with the booklet- he will give you more reasonable estimates.

We had a terrible experience today. We went to look for umbrellas. I was with a student of mine - a 27 year old man with autism. He went to the counter without me, to buy an umbrella he found. They charged him $15 and it was broken. We hadn't left the store and I took it immediately back to the counter to show them that it had a broken piece. She said there were no returns and it was our fault for not inspecting it better. Absolutely rediculous. Her attitude was the worst part. No apology that it was broken or help in making things right. She was immediately disrespectful and nasty. Everything is always priced spontaneously and high. Old (and even broken) items are regularly priced close to new prices, willy nilly, on the spot at the register. While I was waiting the customer next to us checked out. They were buying a wheelchair. It was worn and tattered. She charged $100! For a wheelchair, at Christmas! A quick Google search will show you that new ones are not much more than that.Really Sharehouse? How disgusting and shameful.Fire the witchy manager at the cash register. She is obviously creating a pretty bad reputation for the organization. And in the meantime, return the $15 to my friend and you can have your broken umbrella back.

Like many others, the biggest turn off for me is the lack of consistent pricing, and the treatment of customers at checkout. It's important to remember that sharehouse runs completely on donations. All these items were gifted to them; while I know it costs to keep the lights on and pay staff, it doesn't account for the outrageous at times made up buffoonery that is accounted for after waiting 15 minutes to check out pressed up against other things and people trying to squeeze past you. You're committed now right? You glance down at the jacket in your hand--it's missing a button--you can sew one on (but you will have to buy some (add to list))! You make it to the checkout and the cashier, looks at the jacket, and completely straight faced remarks: "$60" in utter amazement, you pause and say "60? I thought maybe 10? It's missing buttons?" Without a beat, she throws the jacket into growing pile behind her. "60" You are bullied into leaving the jacket behind, feeling stupid, ashamed, or paying the outrageous price that is close to retail for a used, defective jacket because there is not only her eyes borrowing into you but the line behind you. Good luck. One extra star was added simply because there is so many things to go through and absolutely no curation, so you may want to take gloves, but in having so much presents the availability to find something truly unique.

This would be a 5 star if it were not for the lady that you had working the front on 11/28. There was a ton of stuff, every employee we spoke to was super friendly and nice. We have been here multiple times but this time was ridiculous. My wife was here the week before and purchased a few items to test out how we liked them then we returned to purchase more. The lady at the counter charged over double what we paid a week prior and when we brought it up she was very short and disrespectful about it, not to mention that she overpriced the stickers on some of the items that were the original price tags: ie she charged $5 for an item that had the original sticker for $3. Like I said, everything was amazing other than the wicked witch at the register.
