Helped deal with fraudulent issues and jumped through all the hoops with minimal complaining! Thank you

Not a good credit union. Multiple issues, including being lied to about an expedited card, poor customer service, and a lack of empathy, human service or recommendations by representatives. I do not recommend.

I had such good help by a upbeat lady who asked me how my day was. I love how assertive they are to assist.

TERRIBLE customer service! TERRIBLE bank! Wouldn't recommend it to anyone! I only opened that account to make my car payments through, but that was a huge mistake! Going back to Chime- I've never had a problem with them. Money goes in, money comes out.. like it's supposed to.

Like most, I live paycheck to paycheck so $500 is a lot to family of 5. I was on biweekly withdrawals with UMCU which were scheduled to stop, only to still come out (On a Saturday). I called their call center and spoke with Nick who told me they could easily help me at a branch to get the money back the same day, luckily they were open until 2 that day. Unfortunately, I spent time on a Saturday to drive to the credit union only to find out no one in the branch would help me, even after reading the notes Nick had put on my account that I could get the money back. They said you have to take it up with Nick or Brittany. So my family had to live on less than $100 for a few days. We weren't able to get groceries or diapers until we got the money back. I just think they could've went a little further than to just say sorry we can't help when it's clear they took $500 when they weren't supposed to. And to add on to that, when they gave me an answer my resolution (can get your money back Monday), there was nothing more than sorry offered. Bad bad bad customer service.

The last incident I had with this institution erases any of the good experience I might have had for all the years I've banked with them. I had an insurance that needed to be paid monthly out of my account. I gave the forms to the insurance company with my account number and authorization to withdraw the funds. After 6 months and no withdrawals were on my account, I called the insurance co. and was told I did not have coverage. I let it go since I wasn't charged. Then my son told me he had money withdrawn out of his account monthly and it was my payment for insurance. They charged him fees to transfer money from his savings to checking, but since he rarely uses this account he did not keep up with these transactions. When he realized, he called U of M and they said they could only reimburse for the last 2 months. Even though they took money that was never authorized. They refuse to acknowledge that they made the mistake. The first rep we spoke with even told us that if the authorized account isn't found in the system right away, it will go to something close to it. Really?? My son's name is on my account, but I am NOT in any way on his. The insurance company says that they had neither of our account numbers in their files. Since no one would claim any responsibility or give us back OUR money, the Attorney General is now notified. I sure don't plan to stay with U of M. Got the runaround all three times we called with no outcome and they lied each time.

rather than wasting time having a manager contact me, please spend resources on becoming a proper financial institution. Your communications are poor, your electronic processes are pathetic, your bill payment is poor.

Slow and painful. The managers just walk around the building while agents are tied up with folks for hours.

Much Worse since COVID hit. 2+ weeks to replace a lost credit card is just stupid. Lines at physical locations are much longer.
