I really hate banking with UMCU these days. They have gone downhill so much within the last few years. Long wait times for any support, they keep blocking me from buying food, paying rent all security measures for “my own safety”. Yeah, real safe making it so I cannot get access to my money and pay for necessities. I live out of state. Y’all are just making my life impossible. Plus, y’all removed the member pay option. So I can’t even pay my partner to help pay for rent and necessities.
I have thousands in funds that I can’t use when and how I need to. And when I need help they tell me to go to a bank not even in my city when I own no vehicle and even told them that. Thanks, I guess? I’ll just not pay rent even though I have the funds. UMCU is apparently fine with me living on the streets while they keep my money.

Every company is out to take advantage of everyone they can.
It is the new way to do business. Dishonesty and deception. Has become the new business common practice.
University Of Michigan Credit union, Is NO exception.
Covid changed everything. Everything has doubled. Prices, Fees, and businesses taking advantage of everyone. Even companies that were once respectable.
University Of Michigan Credit Union is no exception to the new “Screw you over” business practices.
I have been a longtime customer. With business and personal accounts. Have one auto loan and another credit card, almost paid off after 5 years of paying on time. Even paying more than asked, most months.
NEVER missing a payment. Even during covid. When I didn’t have work for a year. And no one helped me!!!
Being self employed.
Now that I made it through covid, and need help keeping my successful business from going under, due to equipment needs.
University Of Michigan Credit Union refuses to help me in any way. And I have excellent credit not to mention above attributes.
I highly recommend doing business with a bank who cares about their customers.
