Way 1 Supermarket is a Chinese grocery store noted for its good variety and selection. It offers many vegetables, which are often described as clean and fresh, along with a vast assortment of Asian foods. Shoppers can find snacks, canned goods, frozen fish and seafood, frozen meat, vinegar, and household items. The store is considered a hidden gem for trying foods from various cultures like Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, China, and Taiwan. Prices and selection are generally viewed as very good, not bad, or fantastic for certain heavy discounts, though some note higher prices compared to other Asian markets. However, several consistent drawbacks are mentioned. A primary concern is expired products, with reports of items past their labeled date still on shelves, including packaging products and frozen foods. The store environment is frequently described as messy, with boxes piled in aisles, and some find it a little dirty and smelly. Customer service is an area for improvement; the store is seen as understaffed, needing more cashiers, and staff stocking items are often not available for questions. While convenient for nearby students, some recommend other markets for a wider variety of produce at lower prices. Despite these issues, many customers return for the selection and specific finds, advising careful checking of expiration dates, especially on frozen items.
I've been here on multiple ocassion and honestly the experience gradually becomes so disappointing. Staff wasn't nice and they resealed/taped some stuffs there which shouldn't be supposed to be done that way.

I was amazed at the selection and affordability here! Will most definitely be back.

This Asian market is nice. It smells clean and there’s more of a focus on snacks and produce and household essentials. Some of the other markets have a lot of meat and this particular one is more balanced.
