Don’t care about their customers. DO NOT USE Wells Fargo.

It wasn't more than two to three days that I cashed my first check in the Wells Fargo office IN PERSON with my bi monthly check that they removed it for "Alter/Fictitious" reasons, leaving my account from the five hundred it initially had to only 77 DOLLARS. I called for every minute I could spare, more than 10 to 15 times and received no explanation, saying it was "Altered or Fictitious" with no direct clause of WHY it could be fake or fraudulent. No explanation. $12 fee. I even got my EMPLOYER involved to contact payroll services and they said the exact same thing and that it was on MY end (For it being fraudulent, I signed it in the store IN FRONT of the associates). All I can go is sign the check I earn after two weeks of work. I don't know what they want from me. At the end of the day, I had to go through the trouble of getting a replacement check and suffer the penalty of ANOTHER $15 fee for my saving being below the three hundred thresh hold when they witheld the amount when all other fictitious claims on future checks has not been present. This was for the very first check I deposited into my account, and this is my first experience banking as a young man in my late teens. I was told that this isn't the worst that it gets, and I suppose this is the world we live in. It terrifies me that I work and earn so little and that everything I have is at the whim of an entity(s) who could care less and work for their own convenience. Especially in this climate, I would think twice before opening an account, no doubt this could be a method to "keep themselves afloat" and they will leave YOU with the tab when they should secure their own finances honestly like the rest of us. I can't do any more calling, I am at a dead end with this and forced to roll with the punches. Please do not subject yourself to this unpleasant experience and have these (or frankly any) kinds of people to have agency over your assets.

Terrible ripoff thanks to Wells Fargo's “wealth†bonus incentive system for bankers and brokers.

I just called asking to see if this was a branch or if there are any Wachovia/WellsFargo branches nearby and the lady was very short, unfriendly and rude.
