Brought in my Stihl for a new chain. Not make & model on a scrap of paper, the actual thing. Clerk looked at the numbers on the bar, and picked out a box from his shelves. Then he looked at the numbers on the bar again and took back his box and brought out another box. (Was this his ultimate mistake? Second guessing himself?) At this point I was happy, not yet knowing I'd be making a second trip. At home, tried to swap out my old chain for the the new one and find out the new one is **many** inches longer than I want. Thanks a ton Mr Parts Specialist. I drive back, walk inside dangling both chains from my finger so you could see the different lengths. Same parts specialist from 1st time says "Oh, looks you got the wrong chain" and I corrected him "No, YOU gave me the wrong chain, I had nothing to do with this." Let's assign responsibility where its due. I did not want to deal with the same guy at the counter and even said so, but he butted in to handle the exchange. I told him he owed me gas money for the 2nd trip so he did hand me money back, $4.25, which at first I thought was maybe a 10% discount but in fact its the difference between the two chains. Smarmy salesman had me thinking he was actually coughing up something to satisfy an angry customer BUT NO! It was just my change due back!He scammed me.Instead of an apology he went with "Well things happen."His "thing" is getting paid to to set customers up for failure and then blatantly lie and accuse the customer a couple times. By the way I don't remember hearing any apology. Party of Personal Responsibility my a$$. Can't admit his own mistakes is closer to the truth. I am so sick and tired of people getting away with lies.If he can't manage to sell the correct chainsaw blade, is he selling the big farm tractors?
