It's like staying at a low quality 2 star hotel, but at 4 star prices. The floors are always sticky, the pool is always full of unattended kids, the air smells old and stale, the carpets are gross, there is often food and trash sitting outside the doors where people put their gross room service garbage out and staff is slow to pick it up. Don't get me started on the bar and the staff there. I went two nights in a row, and both nights they ran out of beer. The second night I ordered a flat bread pizza and after 45 minutes I was still waiting. They ran out of beer so I just left and went and got fast food. The first bartended acted like he never worked in a bar before and he didn't even know what a lager was. The second bartender was opening beers with his wedding ring, which is gross because his dirty hands are all over the mouth of the bottle. Overall, this is a very typical, low quality hotel where the rooms and staff are just barely adequate. The only reason to stay here is if your company is paying for it.

Ever heard the expression, "Rode hard and put away wet"? That's this entire hotel.Stained carpet in the rooms, stained and ripped furniture, broken power outlets, no working TVs in my room. The front front desk staff showed what I can only describe as disdain for guests, just for checking in. I didn't complain about any of the numerous issues with my room because I knew it wouldn't do any good. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that Trevor, the bartender, is an absolute delight. Give that man a fat raise and hire 10 more just like him.

Overall, the stay was enjoyable! I was a bit surprised there was not a kitchenette in my suite. In addition, it seems there were some plumbing issues above the toilet area in the bathroom. It seemed to be taken care of before my arrival, but the ceiling repair still needs some repair. There seems to be some need for a closet door in the bathroom area behind in the mirror by the sink. As for the suite area, some better furniture would make it more homey for those staying there. The arrival area was OK, but it seemed customers were milling around trying to decide where to get to their rooms. I also noticed there were 2 elevators, but it appeared that only one was operational. It also appeared that the AC in the dining room atrium was also not operating well. On my ride up, I observed numerous diners fanning themselves from the heat. This seemed to be not in keeping with Hilton policies of comfort. The hallways were very warm as well. Fortunately, the room was relatively comfortable upon my arrival.I will consider staying again if my future plans warrant me to do so. However, I feel some of these issues need to be resolved for me to do so. Let's see what can be done!

Rooms and service were great. Full service breakfast is always good. But the no A/C in the main area is the only downfall. It doesn't really cool off either. But if you aren't spending time in the lobby area then everything else was great!Rooms: 4/5

I had my wedding block at this hotel and it was one of the worst experiences in a hotel. Our room had numerous stains and the toilet continued to run throughout the night. The front desk was informed of these issues yet they never were resolved. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful throughout the entire process of booking our wedding block at this hotel. Our gift bags were never handed out to our guests after continuing to ask the employees why they were not handing them out, they never seemed to care or be interested in them. The one elevator situation was a major issue for our guests when trying to reach our shuttle for the wedding venue. The air conditioning issue in the atrium area was very uncomfortable to be in when at breakfast and walking throughout. Finally, my in laws booked a room through our wedding block just like all of our other guests. When they went to check in the night of our wedding, they were told there were no rooms available for them and the hotel was overbooked and never assigned them a room. They were still charged for their room as well even though they never stayed there and are having to handle the hotel charge through their credit card company now instead. I would never recommend this hotel for anyone and will be informing my wedding venue to direct their guests to better accommodations in the future.

I was surprised at how terrible the experience was here. I believe it was remodeled and thought it was a great place to block rooms for my wedding. The staff was very rude and unhelpful and almost seemed like my wedding party was a bother to them. I did not end up with the room I requested to get ready in. Then to top it off they gave away my mothers room, which was a part of the block, and she was forced to go home in a car with no gas. I left my wedding in tears and tried to figure something out for her in the lobby. I attempted to call the general manager twice and left voicemails, to no avail. Corporate said it was booked in my mothers name so she had to deal with it. My mother was still charged for her stay and now has to fight for the charges. The room was alright, the furniture was pretty stained. I definitely would find another hotel.

Day 6 in this hotel, and it definitely does not meet a Hilton Standard.1 elevator for guests ,housekeeping, and laundry. The AC clearly does not work within the main areas. The lack of housekeeping with laundry and trash built up in the halls was definitely a red flag. Requesting someone to come to the room to at least empty the trash and get some towels took 2 days to happen.Unfortunately, due to a death within our family, we didn't have time to move to a different hotel. The staff in the breakfast area have been excellent and friendly. The Managers reception. JUST DON'T DO IT.Staff is friendly.. food is very questionable at best. There is nothing like a cold beer that is sitting in a pitcher in the fridge that came from the tap.Do better Embassy Do better

Worst hotel we have stayed at ever! AC only works in rooms so everywhere else is hot and muggy. Only one working elevator (not too big of a deal). There was broken glass in the hallway on our floor that we told them twice about and still took them over 24 hours for them to take care of it. Walked into the room and our toilet was constantly running. Shower curtain was only have hung up. Bath soap was completely bone dry. Stains all over the floor and the couch. One of the curtains was also broke. They give 2 complementary water bottles for the 5 of us (would have been happy with just 3 for the kids). Went swimming and felt like we were swimming in an abandoned building with how the ceiling/walls looked. I cannot believe this is a Hiton! Definitely does not meet the standard I have seen in the past.Noteworthy details: Disgusting and run down

I'm very disappointed. We stayed here 2 years ago and was very happy. Unfortunately we came back! The place has gone downhill. It's July, and the beautiful atrium lobby is hot, low functioning AC hot. There was only one elevator working. The line to wait for the elevator was always long. The room we were in smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The carpet and the curtains had old stains. The chair in the room was broken. I also want to mention that we used our Hilton App to check in and choose the room. We chose a room on the first floor and we were told the check in was successful. One hour before arrival we received an email that we no longer had that room and we were moved to a room on the 2nd floor. When we finally got through to the hotel we were informed that the people in the room decided to stay an extra day. I think it's bad policy to invite someone to book a room that is not really available. Why did I give the horn 3 stars? The breakfast was great. The guy making the omelets was friendly and very good. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly.

Do not stay here! It is overpriced for what you get. There is a cheaper and nicer embassy suites nearby. Immediately upon checking in we had to request a new room. Broken furniture (the chair) and stains all over the couch and carpet. The new room you get to walk through a hall that reeks of vomit. We told them, it is only getting worse. Requests for service or about broken things take an hour more to respond. They do not give you hand soap for the bathroom, you have to ask. The service staff in the food and bar area are friendly and attentive but that is the only redeeming quality. Half of the outlets in the room don’t work and sometimes the TV works, sometimes it doesn’t. The comforter and sheets were stained so I asked for new ones. They said they would do it, returned to the room 8 hours later and nothing was done. So we called and the dropped off another stained comforter and a pile of sheets for me to remake my own bed. The hotel is in drastic need of upgrade and frankly good cleaning. There are crumbs all over the closet in the bathroom. Frankly for the price I expected a lot better. Don’t waste your money.

Stayed here 05/26 to 05/29. Besides The Buffet Breakfast which was good this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. The room was dirty when we arrived. There were no towels in our room. We were provided a half of a roll of toilet paper and no basic toiletries(soap, shampoo and body wash). We decided to use the swimming pool/hot tub. Well the jets in the hot tub were not working and had a film on top of the water. The pools was pretty cold. There were 2 elevators in the atrium but only one worked. The main A/C unit in the hotel was out so the main sitting area was extremely hot. I’m not one that typically writes reviews but I would not recommend this hotel to a single person ever. Last but not least the hotel staff seemed rude at times. I don’t know if it was because they were understaffed or what. Being a member of Hilton honors I’m very disappointed with this stay!

Loved it! If ever in the area again, this is where we will definitely stay. Heck, we may actually go back to Detroit JUST to stay here again. Rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. Staff were all amazing - from the front desk to room service to the staff servicing the breakfast buffet, everyone was WONDERFUL!!!

This embassy suites is the super lazy brother of the other embassy suites close by. No shuttle vs the other one. Breakfast wasn’t served until 6:55AM even though it is supposed to be available starting at 6AM. People had to skip breakfast because their Uber couldn’t be rescheduled even though they paid for it at 6AM. The woman bartender is not good at her job at all and is just unpleasant. Also, they give paper coffee cups vs the other actually gives real coffee mugs in the morning instead of the easy way out. The elevator was broken \u0026 took forever. The little things add up. Finally, not everyone, but at a higher proportion of the front desk not being as helpful and having poorer communication skills (friendly, helpful, etc)

Room was freezing! I had temp set to 80° & it just blew cold air. Had to get maintenance to fix the room furnace. Also 2 room suit plus bathroom only had 1 small trash bucket for the whole place. Tried to get room service multiple times, but no one picked up the phone. I figure they lost $40 in dinner receipt plus a $10 tip. I stayed hete once before, but it was never this bad. AVOID this hotel. It wasn't worth the the $175!

Overall we had a good stay! The rooms are a little dated, but nothing too horrible. Honestly you get what you pay for. The pool and pool area was a bit small. Which would have been fine if it wasn't overrun but tons of obnoxious kids and teenagers that were diving, doing cannonballs, bumping into you, etc. But I don't blame that on the Embassy. However it would be nice if they had someone to monitor or check in on the pool every so often. The only big issue I had was that there were no sheets for the pullout couch or pillowcase for the pillow. I went down to the front desk around 8 and asked them if I could get some sheets and was advised someone would bring them up to my room. Over an hour later and we still didn't have anything. Problem was it was getting late and my kids needed to wind down for bed but we had no sheets. I called down and she said she would check into it. About another 30 minutes and we finally got the sheets. I'm not sure why it took so long to bring something up to the room, but that was only the real issue I had with my stay. The breakfast was decent, lots of options. Reception and restaurant area was beautiful and good size. The had some complimentary drinks from the bar. but we weren't able to enjoy that. The window for being able to cash in on the drinks was small (hour and a half) and we were out for dinner. But we could have planned around that if we wanted, that's not on them. I really thought with the size of the room, the large complimentary breakfast and the free drinks, this room was well worth what we paid for the evening. We will be back!
