I was scolded by an overzealous security guard because I accidentally went past the first set of stop signs before getting to the gate. It was an honest mistake. He was a young man. I do question their security training when all they do is give you a thumbs up and not check and look closely at ID cards. Anyone could have gone through with an expired ID card.

Used to be able to get on base with our Veteran SERVICE CONNECTED disability ID cards... but I guess that was too much for the Nasty Girl Base Commander as he revoked the DOD policy...

Wonderful post. I definitely prefer Custer over Grayling. I also want to add that the cooks at the Education Center are AMAZING and very accommodating. Offer meals to vegetarians/vegans and those with food allergies. Great base.

Went to a reclass school here. The Pentagon was great, the instructors and staff were great, the food was great and the surrounding area had plenty of things to. I will say that this was probably the best school house I've attended in the Army.
