0/10 experience. I went in originally to see what my options were for trading my iPhone 13 in. I wanted the 15 but the two ladies who work there, Chelsie and Courtney (I believe that was her name), convinced me into getting the iPhone 16 Pro. They told me it would be cheaper to go with the 16 since they had a promotion going on, that they assured I was eligible for. The offer was $830 off the iPhone with an eligible trade in. They assured me more than once that I would be getting the full $830 amount off for the promotion but it would take up to 3 billing cycles to see the trade in credit on my bill. Fast forward one month, I was only credited $145. Which was on the receipt from the store, but was assured that amount was going to change after they received the trade in phone. It did not. I waited to see if anything more was changing and it wasn’t. I called the store and spoke to Aaron, the manager, and only then was I was told I was never even eligible for the iPhone promotion because of the plan I was on, which they failed to tell me, and in that case I NEVER would have went through with that exact phone. I called customer service and they said the same thing. The manager then stated that his employees must’ve “overlooked” that factor. (That’s their job though???) Mind you, a month had gone by so at that point I couldn’t return the phone. So now I’m stuck paying the full amount for the phone -$145. When I asked if there was any way he could fix this for me, he said there wasn’t, even though they were at fault and blatantly lied to me about the promotion just so they could get their sale for the day. If I could leave a 0/5 stars I would. Do better

I have never had such an awful experience at any AT&T store.
We upgraded all of the phones for us and our kids (5 of us) and had an issue with one of them as soon as we tried using it at home. We called the store and spoke to Aaron who was not helpful at all and seemed to be inconvenienced by our call. And so, after looking up some info on our own, we decided it was best to just return the phone which we only had for about 2 hours.
We went back to the store and Aaron refused to take the phone back without us paying him a $50+ restocking fee. He was extremely rude and because of his attitude we decided to cancel our orders for the remaining phones. He said he couldn't cancel both of them, so once again, we had to do it ourselves. Considering the amount of money they were making off us, you'd think he would be a little more considerate.
Immediately upon leaving the store, I called the AT&T customer support line and spoke with a very kind and understanding rep named Mary. She canceled our remaining orders for us and offered us a resolution to the issue with the phone that Aaron refused to take back without a fee. She is probably the only reason we didn't return ALL of the phones and cancel our service.
I also learned that despite his claims, Aaron didn't HAVE to charge a restocking fee for the phone that we had for 2 hours. It was clear that he chose to be difficult and make this an awful experience for us. He just didn't care.
We will be reordering our canceled upgrades from a different AT&T location. I will NEVER give the Bad Axe store any business again, nor will our other family and friends.

It's easier to turn water into wine than it is to buy a phone, change plans, or just to login

As if ATT wasn’t horrible enough I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to this store for help. Repeatedly have been here with questions or problems that in-store employees should be able to answer and leaving with no answers. Have to travel to port Huron for real customer service. We’ve been customers for years and absolutely cannot wait to cancel our service, which has been its own ongoing battle.
