I recently ordered a new iPhone 16 online and wanted to trade in my old iPhone.
I went to my local store on Columbia Ave to do so.
I was greeted by a young man who was on an iPad. He asked how he could help me.
I informed him that I wanted to trade in an old iPhone.
I explained that the new phone had already been delivered and that I just needed to send the old one back.
He did not know how to do it and asked a young lady who was also working with him.
She asked me if I had bought my new iPhone at their store. I informed her that I had bought it online.
She told me that they could not take it back and that I would need to go online to return it.
When I got home, I went through the process of entering the necessary information to return the old iPhone.
At the end, it asks me how I would like to return the phone.
To my dismay, one of the options is to drop it off at my local store.
So I not only wasted a trip to the store and got incorrect information, but I wound up doing the work that they should have done.
Not happy with my experience.
