Had to wait for an employee to stop vaping and watching videos on his phone in order to be checked out. The store is also absolutely FILTHY. Bugs and leaves from outside all over the floor when you walk in, merchandise everywhere that blocks aisles. Can't even use self checkout because of the massive amount of bullshit on top of it. This store is very unorganized, employees do not care about their job and the manager probably doesn't either. I'll definitely drive to a different DG if I ever go back to one. Every single one of them in Battle Creek is absolutely disgusting, and the employees are always rude and seem like they don't want to be there. Thank God they're opening a Dollar Tree near us, I'll go there from now on.

I went into the store and used the restroom before my shopping as I had been on the road for over an hr and the sales lady knocked on the door of the bathroom and tells me it's not a public restroom. ( sign says restrooms in the store showing where they are). When I come out I voice that it was rude and she should have waited to let me know till I was out and that there should be a sign up and she was snotty and rude to me for being upset and voicing it I front of another customer.telling me I shouldn't talk to the customers. I WAS a customer . No more. I won't shop at stores that can't teach proper customer service.
Thank you to the lady with the child that attempted to help the clerk understand why I was frustrated.

Ignores customers when the store is set to open at 8am as posted. They would not open the door and it was 8:15am by then. Multiple people were outside and ended up leaving myself included.If the store is not set to open at 8am then have it posted with the changed hours. Simple as that.

My friend and I always have to go to the dollor general on w. Columbia ave. There's a Cashier there named Josh, he is so friendly, polite and cares about his Customers. We so appreciate him. He's a KEEPER. Give him a gift card or something to show that you appreciate his work ethics. Thank you.
