I recently used Gerber to fix my Nissan after a pretty intense run in with a deer. The entire process was so easy. I had my car towed there and I almost immediately got a text from them letting me know my car had arrived and when they would be starting my estimate. Every day I got a text update explaining what they were doing that day and to reassure me that they were still on track to have my car ready by the initial pickup date. My car took a little over 3 weeks to fix which considering the damage was a reasonable time frame. When I finally picked up my car they had detailed the interior which was an unexpected service that I appreciated. Overall I would 100% recommend and will definitely come back if or when my car needs repaired!

Before wreck: near flawless truck with 22k miles.
I live in Indy, but was visiting Battle Creek and was collateral damage as part of a 4-car wreck (not my fault as I was parked at a red light). Because I couldn’t drive the truck due to the bumper being pushed into the tire, it was towed to Gerber to repair.
I called on Tuesday and talked to the General Manager, Patrick, and asked about my truck. He assured me it was ready and to come after 1000 on Wednesday morning. He knew I was coming from Indy to get it.
I fly into Kalamazoo and Uber to Gerber and arrive at roughly 1140. The truck wasn’t clean so I had to wait an hour for that. Annoying, but at least I get my truck back in near flawless condition, right? Not so fast…
Well, then they proceeded to tell me they can’t clear 5 error codes for the hood, fan, and something PCM related. My check engine light, windshield washer light, hood open light, and auto start light are all on the dash (see video from their parking lot). My horn also doesn’t work.
I’m clearly upset and showing my frustrations when this idiot estimator named Josh chimes in and says those codes could be before the wreck. When I challenged him, at some point he said “maybe try not to get in a wreck next time” or something to that effect.
Anyway, they suggested I take this new-ish 2024 Ram to a dealer and have them tell Gerber what was likely caused by the wreck… like I’m supposed to play middle man in this repair.
After arguing with them, they assured me a local Gerber to me in Indy would fix everything and the truck was safe to drive. As I pull into my driveway from the 200 mile drive home, the temperature light came on. Lucky for me 99.5% of the drive was highway or I would have definitely overheated earlier.
A few things:
1. Nobody knew I was coming even though the GM of the store told me to come.
2. Based on the condition of the truck there is no way they even started it, let alone drove it, before I picked it up.
3. Josh shouldn’t be allowed to talk to customers and what he said was highly inappropriate, and ignorant.
Awful business. Awful people. Worst customer service. Will never, ever, ever go back.
I now have to take it to a local Gerber to have them fix all of these issues and hope they’re better than this one.
If I could give it zero stars, I would.
For what it’s worth, a young female named Shelby (that was the name on the papers) was the technician who allegedly fixed it. I don’t care that she was female, but just know in advance if you’re taking your vehicle here maybe demand that she not touch it. (Yes, there are awful male technicians, too, and I would give the same advice if it was a male.)

Love the job they did on my windshield!! The tech was so nice and funny too! He even cleaned my dashboard!! Gerber is the place to go!! Thx so much Francisco!

Had body work done on a 2015 Dodge Journey. Flawless workmanship! Everyone was friendly and professional-outstanding! Went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the work done and it was finished sooner than I thought it would be. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thank you so much Gerber!

Called in February and made an appointment for April to get my grill fixed after hitting a goose. April came, brought my truck in and they didn’t have me on the schedule. They supposedly were going to order the parts and call me when they came in. I finally called them in June for an update. Apparently they had the parts and just needed to call me to schedule. Uh huh, sure. Made an appointment for July, brought it in again, they said it was and easy job and would have it done in a day, two tops. Three days went by and they called me to come and get it because they just didn’t have the time to get to it and I needed it to get to work. Said they “might” be able to get it in the following week. That was a week and a half ago and I haven’t heard a word from them!

If I could give a "0" star review I would. This is definitely by far the worst BUSINESS establishment I have ever interacted and done business with. I'm not talking about just collision centers they are the worst business I have dealt with period. I was in a wreck Feb. 4 2022. As of this post they still have my vehicle. They have made excuses for everything you can imagine. The timeline and updates are always "We found something else broken during re-assembly and the parts are on order" I have asked for my vehicle to be fixed elsewhere! This place is a joke! Diagnosing a vehicle for broken/damaged parts is a new concept for this establishment! Please save yourself time, heartache, and the excuses and take your vehicle elsewhere!Services: Body & Trim
