The room was clean but dated, they have placed more accessible outlets and charge points for electronics. The desk personnel are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. I would stay here again if I am in the area.Nearby activities: Plenty of places to eat nearby both fast food and sit down.

Overall it was a comfortable stay. We were in town for a concert at Fire Keepers. Short drive from hotel. I did read reviews about the Expressway being really close and the noise. It was very noisy! Fortunately we did get a room on the opposite side. If we ever stay here again I will be calling to request opposite side or we will go elsewhere. Otherwise it was a good time.

This hotel needs updating. There are broken items all over the place. The iron didn't work and when I got a replacement it was nasty, sticky on the bottom. For the money and the brand, I expect more as a Diamond member. The cleaning people do a good job and the front desk was nice. Owner, give these people an environment to provide a better experience!

Happy to find a pet friendly hotel only 45 miles from home following a storm that took power out for the third night. The terms of pet friendly were dot disclosed until we arrived. $75. Room was on the high side for a Hampton; Battle Creek is no desired destination. Room itself was not great. Normally stay at a Hampton because they are a known consistent quantity; this one easily the worst. Bet was hard.Noteworthy details: $75 pet friendly fee. Ironically, it was International Dog day and we were offered a complimentary small can of dog food. Had just taken our GSP 3 times the previous week to MSU Emergency, and he was on a prescription diet.

Hall carpets were dirty, pool was closed, only 1 of the cardio equipment worked, shower would not drain. Breakfast was fine and the lady who worked the cafeteria worked very hard. This property had to be a Red Roof Inn prior to the Hampton FlagNoteworthy details: As a Hilton Honors, my only interaction with the Front Desk was to get a key and discuss the digital key availability

This is not four 1-star ratings because of anger although I was very unhappy. This may be the very worst Hampton I’ve ever stayed at and we’ve been diamond members for over a decade.\\n\\nFirst impression…VERY strong marijuana smell from the people “hanging out” around the building as we walked in. Then stood at the desk with no one is sight for over ten minutes. Noticed the pool was closed and the hotel is definitely dated.\\n\\nFinally got to the room and was met with a heavy, humid musty smell with a tinge of wet dog smell. Immediately cranked the AC to dry and air it out but even on “constant” fan it kept shutting off. This wouldn’t have been so bad but since the Interstate is SUPER close and undergoing construction, vehicles are being routed across “rumble strips” so the CONSTANT sound of tires would only get downed out during the intervals the fan was running.\\n\\nThe room was VERY dated with very old carpet. It did not feel or smell clean. The toilet screeched loudly when flushed, the shower head had inadequate pressure because the water was leaking around the faucet, toilet paper holder broken off and toilet seat broken. Just felt run down and far below the standards of the Hilton Brand\\n\\nThe breakfast had the smallest selection of food items I’ve ever seen.\\n\\nOverall it feels like it’s being run by cheap skates that are doing the absolute minimum to keep it running.

2.5 stars would be more appropriate. This Hampton is in a desperate need of a remodel. Rooms are starting to show their wear. Breakfast was a bit over cooked and limited on selection. Customer Service was good. Courtney was great!! She was very welcoming and helpful!!

Not a great Hampton! 2 star at best. Pool closed, HVAC not work, everything need maintenance, limited breakfast because “truck hasn’t showed up yet”. Would tell the staff at check out if they could be found. Late night check in staff was nice.

Staff was great. Rooms are very dated, pillows old and flat, sink drips. Read a review from a month ago about a room on the 3rd floor that drawers to the dresser open by themselves due to being un-level. Well that still is not fixed. Pool still closed. Freeway is extremely loud. This hotel does not meet the Hilton standards. Again, staff was amazing.

I reserved a King Suite, but when I arrived, they put us in a standard room with two Queens and said they were fully booked. They refused to even offer a rate discount! It’s pretty dated too, better options in the area for sure.

The staff was extremely helpful in getting my cancellation taken care of, however the rooms and building are absolutely awful and extremely dated. In my room I noticed not only is the ceiling crumbling from water damage, but there is an extreme fire hazard risk. Who installs a light fixture overlapping a fire sprinkler?

The location of the hotel was great. The pool was closed for maintenance however I think it might have been closed due to lack of maintenance. It was closer that no water has been in it for a while. The rooms are ready for an update. The locks on the doors are loose. Towel holders loose. Toilet seat loose. Cabinet drawers on TV stand open by themselves due to unlevel floors. The room had two lights that did not work. Ice maker on the 3rd floor was removed. They did offer a continental breakfast. We had two rooms with similar quality.
