Very expensive to get it done, will definitely go back to doing them myself. An error occurred with your software and I had to go back the following day to get my paperwork for city. Just an apology, still took my money.

We had Kathy for our preparer in Battle Creek and she is hands down the most helpful, kind, and friendliest person you could ask for. She answers questions without hesitation and is kind about it! Hands down she is a keeper!!

I used JH in 2018. I was a single filer, no assets or anything but 1 W2 and 1 dependant. My expected federal return was $985 and my state return was $221. I was charged $397. $65 of that was a few to file my State taxes which I found out were never filed! Fast forward to today, I went to the appointment I scheduled on line at Walmart, I get there and no one is there. I call the number and I'm told I'm at the wrong location. I go to the other location. I explain my taxes are so simple, I can do them myself but that I was there specifically for the Advanced Refund. I collected unemployment only for 2020, my tax preparer and her manager were very much aware of this. I spend over an hour there just for them to tell me, unemployment isn't considered Earned Income and it disqualified me from getting the Advance Refund! They both knew this before we started! And now I owe them $200 in fees! The only nice thing I can say, is the manager was nice enough and cancelled all fees but it can't get back the two and a half hours i spent wasting my time!
