Alexis was knowledgeable and engaging. The ulta setting is bright and cheerful. My haircut came out well and was an enjoyable experience.

My experience started off great — I was greeted at the door, offered a bag, and asked if I needed help. A team member helped me right away with a fragrance and even offered to make a sample or order it online since it was out of stock. I was really impressed at first.
Unfortunately, things went downhill at checkout. My cashier, Alyssa, was extremely pushy about opening a store credit card. I politely declined, but she kept pressing, saying I’d get 20% off if approved or 10% if not. I declined again, and she then told me I could open the card, pay it off, and just cancel it — which felt completely inappropriate.
When I still said no, she got noticeably irritated and said, “Well, I was going to give you a tote bag, but I guess not.” After ringing me up, she added, “You could’ve saved $30 if you just signed up,” in a rude tone.
I get that stores may push credit cards, but this was excessive and uncomfortable. After I got to my car and had time to think about how awkward and pressured the situation was, I went back in and returned everything.
What started as a great shopping trip ended in frustration — and it cost the store a $200 sale.

Had a great experience at Ulta Beauty! I went in looking for a new hairspray and ended up picking up the Redken one after a recommendation from one of the employees. They were super helpful, doesn’t make my hair feel too sticky

I went in this morning for a return and had a terrible experience with the cashier, her name is Rosa. Very rude and gave me attitude the entire time, I had a couple questions on the brand for a different product however due to experience I had with her I left the store. I have noticed new staff over the past months and perhaps that is why customer service has declined, it’s upsetting.

The staff change over the past year is very disappointing. Customer service used to be great and ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE now!!! I can't remember the last time I was greeted with new staff or even asked if I needed assistance. I have been in several times with no staff speaking to me at all. Even at check out, the only words spoken to me are to ask if I have rewards and my total. No smile, no hello, no did you find everything you were looking for or thank you, have a nice day. It's as if customers are inconveniencing them by having to work. It is very frustrating when I have needed assistance with Hair tools and walked around trying to find staff. I even called the store while in the store with no answer, but got a recording. It was during the day on a weekday and not busy at all. Maybe 5 customers in store. I walking up front, the staff (5 girls or so) were huddled in a corner chatting, laughing and looking at their phones. I asked if they had any more Biolage liter bottles, as the displays seemed to be scattered and random bottles all around store and not organized at all. One girl looked up and replied that everything was out. She didn't ask what I was looking for or offer on line sales or any type of help at all! She made me feel as if I was being a nusance by asking a question. I walked out and went to the Portage location and received awesome customer service! I was greeted instantly and received help with finding Hair tools and with locating the liter shampoo/conditioner that I was looking for. I saw familiar faces that used to work at the Battle Creek location. I was told that it was not the first time hearing how terrible the staff changes and awful customer service at Battle Creek location. I spent over $700 in store and more on line with products not available or sold out in store. I will not be surprised if the Battle Creek location closes as I'm sure that others are driving 40 minutes to Portage or Kalamazoo due to customer service issues. I will NEVER go back to Battle Creek location unless I order on line and pick up in store only. SO ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING!!! Staff used to be so nice and helpful and store was more organized and stocked. I wouldn't complain if this was a one time incident or if the store was busy/ short staffed.

I unfortunately cannot remember the gentleman that helped me. But I came in with 3 or 4 specific questions and skincare needs. He knew exactly what I was trying to explain, and referred me to two products that would help with what I was looking to correct. (Under eye cream, something to help my skin texture, and clear up my pores). I’ve been using the products since, and have already noticed a difference. I was expecting to spend $100+ and spent about 3/4 the amount. I was super happy with the experience and service. I wish I could remember your name, I’m so sorry!!! But thanks so much!

This is my favorite Ulta! The salon is amazing, and, aside from the manager Tyler who is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and knows nothing about makeup, my visits are always great! The beauty advisors always do an amazing job helping with anything I need.

I would choose 0 stars if i could! I unfortunately have a very specific complaint from yesterday, I showed up the weekend before xmas expecting shenanigans buuuuut WoWsers!! I'm not the type to complain either, but this must be said, I've never had anyone in any store treat me with such disrespect EVER! (Nobody introduced themselves, i may have names incorrect sorry)The manager was much worse than Beth(the staff member called over to help price things for me) , whom might I mention proceeded to price the two bottles of cologne telling me that one was 40% off, that it was the last one, probably being discontinued or something, then took off running with the clearance item I was interested in purchasing mid decision... Sam(the other staff member helping me) even looked at me and said that was so messed up im so sorry, and then said she would say something, I took it upon myself to talk to the manager who proceeded to tell me that she needed that item for an online order..., aaaaaand that their are plenty more in the back... but nothing is on sale they must have gotten it wrong somehow???, that it was a miscommunication... I proceeded to tell him that no, their was NO communication period, she ran away with the product i was looking at, that was very rude, and I would not be coming to this location again because of this, he then defended Beth saying she was great at her job, and questioned me again about what happened as if I was making this up... wow! Didn't offer any type of respectful apology, or reassurance that this would be corrected, The most unprofessional experience I've ever had. I've been a customer at this location for years and needless to say I won't be returning, ill try sephora that's a few doors down next time. If the owner happens to see this, and is questioning what I'm saying, you should check your cameras and maybe have a staff meeting about how to treat customers professionally and with respect....

Aysha is the sweetest, nicest, and cutest person in the whole world. She is always friendly she is always willing to help. She takes care of her customers and she actually cares. Shes been doing my eyebrows for a few years, I drive from Kzoo to come see her, and shes brilliant. Ive been telling my sister to go to her for years and i finally convinced her a few months ago to stop doing her own and let Aysha take care of her and she did and she was so pleased and said she wished she would have listened to me a long time ago. We love Aysha and you will too.

SARAH is the best! My daughter and I have both been seeing her for about a year and we ALWAYS leave happy. This last time, I was ok with how my hair was but wanted something different. I trusted Sarah's magic and can't believe I didn't do highlights earlier! Where have you been all my life, Sarah?! She created the perfect blend of colors for me. And the trim is perfect too! Both straight and curly it's perfect. LOVE!

SARA A. IS OUTSTANDING!!! She has done my heavy platinum blond highlights PERFECT, over and over and over!! ✨️ I think she's the best person I have ever had bleach my hair, And it is VERY LONG hair. Gets the perfect 10 level, and gets it to the scalp. No gap. If you want a GREAT bleach session book an appt. with her... also she cares about your hair and goes the extra mile to recommend Olaplex, which no one has ever recommended before. In 30 years she's the best I've ever had!!

Ayasha has been my eyebrow consultant for well over 3 years!! She is amazing at what she does. I should have left a review long ago. Today, she went above and beyond by staying later to do my brows due to my scheduling conflicts. I wouldn't ever go anywhere else as long as I'm in Battle Creek!❤️
