Do not stay here! No housekeeping. No towels, dirty beds. Front desk tried putting us in three different rooms. First room, floor near AC fully wet, no sheet, a couple bugs (I don’t think it was bed bugs). 2nd room, bed wasn’t even made, sheets and covers all over the room. 3rd room, beds were made but garbage everywhere and pubic hair on the floor, entire wall was cracked. Everything in the place has not been updated or replaced in 20 years. Mold everywhere. Nothing clean and random holes in the ceiling. Still trying to get a refund, didn’t even sleep in a hotel in Bay City. 1 star for decent hot tub (no towels) and AC works. No one stay the night here. Once renovated I wouldn’t stay unless management and staff are replaced.

If you want to walk into a hotel where employees are loudly fighting, cursing, and quitting with a child on their arms then this is the place for you. However, I would not be checking in and asked for a refund. The front desk young lady was wonderful but said they had been pushed around all day and were all done with it. The older blonde lady who was walking around on the phone with the owner on loud display said she was so mad and didn't know what she was saying. Fortunately they cancelled my room but unfortunately were not sure how to refund me. The lady offered to give me the owners number then said never mind and offered an email. At this point I said I'd dispute it with my credit card if need be. I just didn't want my kiddo around that environment any longer.

SHOCKING safety hazards, unauthorized charges, and complete mismanagement
I have stayed in many hotels — this was the worst experience I've ever had. I prepaid for my room last year. At check-in, I was told they’d just place a $50 incidental hold — instead, they charged my debit card $169.88 without my consent. I showed my receipt, and they still couldn’t fix it. I had to cancel my card and report it to my bank.
That’s just the beginning:
I was given incorrect directions to a room that didn’t exist, told to take a cart to the “basement,” but there were no rooms down there. I saw 7 steps leading up the first floor which is where the room was located.
They told my husband to drive up to the patio but the room only had a window.
The staff gaslit me about a patio that wasn’t there — one even told me to “open the curtain” and acted shocked when it turned out I was right.
The room had TWO towels for FOUR adults, no shampoo, and no phone, which is a major safety issue.
There are zero lights near the patio area, and my son tripped over a broken cement block in the dark and injured his foot. I have photos.
The night clerk, clearly exhausted, told us he’s been working 20-hour shifts, was underpaid by $1/hour, and had no idea we were even owed towels. That says everything about how bad the new management is.
This place is unsafe, dishonest, and run by people who should not be in the hospitality industry. I’m reporting them to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, and I’ve already filed a bank fraud dispute for the unauthorized charge.
Avoid this place at all costs. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I thought being a golf course/resort that I couldn’t go wrong. This place is disgusting. No air conditioning in the hall ways. The pool and jacuzzi area has to be the most disgusting thing about the whole resort. I went to get in the shower to rinse off and there was hair on the shower stall. I’d never recommend or would I come back. I asked for my money back once I seen the shower/room. There isn’t even a refrigerator in the room? No microwave or anything. This place is a disaster

Solid four stars. The lobby is gorgeous and the building seems neat and old. The rooms are also old and it's in the rooms that you see a bit of a time capsule. I was surprised that the rooms did not have a fridge, coffee pot, or phone. The breakfast was not free, and I believe it was $12 a person if I remember correctly, which is nuts. Even $6 a person would still be too much for me. I have paid more to stay in worse hotels and we we probably be back!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Arrived late in the evening after our original hotel plans fell through. Tiffany at the front desk was not only helpful and friendly but also helped turn a bad night into a great one! Hands down best hotel service I’ve had in a long time! Will be back again!

The bartender Sunny (may have spelled it wrong if you see this sunny sorry if I spelled it wrong haha) she’s very kind and funny and gives great advice all in all she’s a great person! I can’t wait to come back here maybe next weekend with the kids.

We held my son’s birthday party here. Got no help with anything. Then we spent the night and he got very sick. I went to the front desk to tell them. She stated they had no house keeping working. This was a Saturday night! So she switched us rooms. The rooms have nothing to clean anything with. Next day. Checking out. She states that I’m being charged for both rooms because of the amount of puke that was there. Even though I asked for help right away. The pool also caught lots of children’s feet’s. Never again will we be coming here.

Rooms are outdated and gross. There is no Kleenex, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, phone, Bible. Rooms are horrible, mirrors dirty, no mattress protector on beds, bed frames are broken and caving in, holes in air conditioning unit bringing in cold drafts.
Breakfast was a disappointment only cold breakfast sandwiches and bagels, no milk for cereal and no hot water for tea or oatmeal also not a good selection of sandwiches. The restaurant was closed on a Saturday which was shocking when the front desk person said they close at 9pm.
Pool smelled so bad and not well maintained the tile is chipping off into the pool and the railing is loose and not stable. Lots of hard sharp rocks in the pool. Do not recommend for the price I paid which was over $120 a night I am very disappointed and will not be back.

Resort has not had improvements since it was built about 40 years ago..looks impressive from the front
Ride around the back of the building. Mold covered air conditioning units. Wires hanging 2nd floor to 1st floor. Faucets leaked. So unfortunate. This used to be 5☆ in my book.
Completely in need of a massive renovation.
