Upon showing up for an appointment for an oil change, we discovered that you had also added an unrequested tire rotation. Had we not paid attention, another $20 would have been charged to our bill.Then while in the waiting room with other customers present, the Thelen service representative came in with two plastic bags with our engine filter in one and cabin filter in the other, stating they needed to be replaced.This was done directly in front of other customers, sitting as close to her as we were. Her demeanor embarrassed us, feeling coerced. The combined retail price for these two filters were $91. When we priced these at the Subaru online site, these identical filters combined were just under $40.We had felt that the $92 oil change was a market average. Clearly we feel that any extras discovered are of an exorbitant nature. We have now lost confidence in your dealership for the professional treatment and pricing we had anticipated.

This was my first experience with a Subaru dealership and my Product Specialist, Andrew, did a great job of explaining the brand and answering all of my questions. I would highly recommend Thelen Subaru if you are interested in the Subaru brand. I am very pleased with my new Subaru and with the dealership, in general.

I had a fantastic experience with Andrew Risch and Thelen Subaru of Bay City. I just purchased a used 2014 Subaru Outback from them and wanted to detail my experience. When I arrived to test drive the car, it had not yet been through the 16 point service inspection. However, after the test drive and my own inspection of the vehicle, I knew that I wanted it and placed a deposit down on the vehicle. Now, even though they knew I was going to purchase the vehicle, during the service inspection they still went ahead and replaced a good number of worn items... complete front brakes, headlamps, turn signal, changed the oil, and even found new Subaru Outback floor mats since they couldn't locate the ones that came in the car. These are stand up guys. Very happy customer. Keep it up Andrew and team at Thelen

Lance our salesman was very helpful in explaining and facilitating a great price. Dale helped in the final process and Zach covered any financial questions. Kelly was exceptional in offering extras to close this deal. Very happy in the whole package. We highly recommend Thelen Subaru!!

I cannot recommend a dealership more. I made an hour and 45 min drive to this dealership, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. The salesman, Tyler, got me a great price on my car. On top of this, him and Zach, one of the managers, were extremely friendly to be around. A great environment at Thelen!

I just finished the process of leasing a Subaru from Thelen. My experience with the dealership and especially Anthony Christie were amazing. They supported me throughout the whole deal. Anthony was there since day 1. He answered all my questions and assured I was clear of everything. Great salesperson! He make me very sure of my purchase. Anthony was very thorough reviewing the car and documentation me. Overall excellent experience and would highly recommend!

My experience at Thelen Subaru was nothing short extraordinary! Zach made the process of purchasing my 2nd Subaru so easy and quick! The crazy Cajun man with the accent was pretty entertaining as well. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family!

Went in a couple of months ago to order a new Subaru Forester Wilderness as I couldn't find a good used one anywhere. Andrew Risch is a new salesperson and he did a good job. I didn't appreciate that they (Andrew and his supervisor) tried to get me to buy products, really leaned on me telling me how important it was to have the paint treated and the entire inside also treated. For a total of $2,000. I refused (if I wanted the services, I'd get them elsewhere for a lower price). I didn't receive any discount of the MSRP as the vehicles are in such demand. I was fortunate that the Forester only took 7 weeks to arrive, as they are catching up after the chip shortage (it had been 8-12 weeks). Andrew was very helpful regarding getting a hitch receiver and wiring harness. He'd been told (?) that the harness would be a 4 wire, but I could get an adapter to convert it to 7 pin. I told him this wasn't possible, the adapter doesn't make more wires. He checked with a local firm and was able to confirm that you need a 7 wire harness to hook up to a 7 wired trailer/etc. Andrew said that he even saved me almost a couple hundred dollars, but it turned out to be just $75 cheaper. When I made plans to get the vehicle (I was going to rent a car dolly and get the new vehicle with my truck), Andrew told me they would send a driver to get me (I live just over 1 hour away) which I was surprised by. I called when the driver didn't arrive by the time arranged. Andrew checked into it and found that he had heard the driver talking about going to get something (a part from somewhere in Ohio) and he told the driver never mind, it was handled. The driver was actually talking about picking me up. Just a simple snafuu. Andrew came to pick me up himself in his Forester, and showed me some of the features while we drove. He is very enthusiastic and pleasant and I appreciated him picking me up. [I considered using another dealership, but Thelen in Bay City Michigan was the closest. This was my first time ordering a new vehicle (or even buying one), so I don't know how my experience stacks up to others.]

Had a very easy negotiation with Kelly Isbell when we purchased our Outback. Dale Furister was our sales associate and he made it easy to decide to buy our vehicle. I feel they're honest and accommodating.

I purchased a Subaru Legacy on Friday from Lance last minute before they closed. I originally came in wanting a cross-trek, and after talking with the general manager Kelly, he changed my mind. Working with these two gentlemen was a pleasure and I will definitely be back in the future for any vehicle I purchase! I have bought a Subaru here before and would say this dealership has the best customer service out of any others I have been to. Thanks again Lance!

I had a fantastic experience with Thelen! I worked with Andrew Risch as my salesman and he was incredible!! He had no problem showing me several cars and was quick to reach back out to me when one popped up that he knew I would be interested (and that would became the one I purchased). He was very patient with my millions of questions and my extremely indecisive nature haha. I had a fantastic experience and cannot recommend Andrew enough!

I worked with Andrew to buy my new Subaru Forester Wilderness. He is a very nice guy to work with. He answered all my questions and communicated via text/email which was helpful. Initially, they said it would take 8-12 weeks to get my vehicle but it ended up taking 20 weeks. That would be Subaru production fault and not Andrew's. End purchase was smooth and easy!

We had a great experience with Angelo, he went above and beyond to make our experience easy, enjoyable, and effective. All of our concerns were addressed with a solution based approach and exceeded our expectations!In addition, I had a medical procedure in the middle of the purchasing process that slowed down the sale. Excellent vehicle shopping experience. I met multiple sales people while at Thelen. All of them very friendly, helpful and courteous. Zack and Andrew were both exceptional. They answered all my questions and demonstrated a genuine interest in ensuring I was fully informed and comfortable. I would fully recommend this dealership for anyone considering a Subaru.

Just recently purchased a gently used Subaru with Thelen, and I will say it was the easiest car buying process we’ve ever had. We didn’t live close, but Andrew was able to answer all of my questions and had the vehicle waiting for us to test drive. Everyone we met was kind and friendly. Really liked the small town feel of this dealership. If we ever need to purchase again, we will definitely consider making the drive again.
