I went in to the store at approx. 6:45 PM on 7/29/2023. I want to say the store was very clean and tidy and I am aware that it is very new and there is a learning curve. With that being said I have absolutely no complaints against the people working at the store with the exception that I had to seek out a cashier as I had a coupon that I wasn't sure how to use at the self checkout. With that in mind let me take you to the checkout experience. The cashier was unsure of how to run the manufactures check/coupon. Fine, I totally understand that they are probably new and I brought them something a little on the confusing side. I work at a bank and know that we run them through our check system so I explained that I have accepted them in grocery deposits as well as other retail deposits when they have accepted them in the past but I was unsure how they would put them through their system. She told me that she had to call her manager to be sure of how to accept the coupon. She proceeded to call her manager and explained the purpose for her call. The manager didn't hardly hear the explanation before telling her that they couldn't accept the coupon. She tried to say it was something for WIC retailers. The coupon is a Similac $5 off discount and plainly says that all retailers selling Similac items would accept the coupon. I could have accepted we just don't know how to run it but the manager who was on speaker phone told the cashier that there is just a lot of fraud that they need to watch out for. I WAS FURIOUS! I work at a bank I deal with serious fraud all the time, but to sit there and publicly accuse a person without even looking at the coupon of committing fraud with a $5 coupon that even had my name on it. If she had even bothered to ask the cashier what she thought, because you could tell she knew it was real but just didnt know what to do with it. She even told me after she hopped off the phone with the manager that she would help me out and use one of the store coupons for $5 off but I was livid. I left and didn't purchase anything from the store and probably never will again. I actually drove to a grocery store and spent more than I would with the coupon on their product than I would at the original dollar general because I value customer service over everything and I did not appreciate this managers comments and complete unwillingness to help or admit that she wasn't sure she just jumped right to fraud so that she didn't have to deal with it.

I know this one is brand new and very clean and very huge. But I don’t think it’s going to get a lot of customers

Extremely clean and organized. Friendly staff and well run. They have good prices on some things and a good selection.
