I have attended 3 afternoon teas at the Applesauce Inn. Each one was fabulous. The food and tea were delicious. Jamie creates the ultimate experience by paying attention to detail and creating a unique ambiance. If you’ve never been to her teas, you’re missing out!

Recommended by a coworker and came up from Toledo. What a wonderful experience. Jamie is an amazing host, able to give us lots and lots of things to do and see. Her breakfasts were some of the best Ive had, and her late night snacks were also awesome. We got the larger room upstairs and it was warm and cozy. perfect romantic getawayRooms: all the rooms in the house are warm and perfectly appointed. very homeyNearby activities: tons to do, from hiking, to eating, winery tours, shorts brewery, torch lake, charlevoix, all sorts of festivals.

We have stayed here many times! We look forward to future stays. Each visit has been a 5-star experience. The warmth & hospitality is unmatched. The breakfasts and baked goods are consistently amazing! The hosts are so warm, welcoming and gracious. They offer so much wonderful information for things to do in the area. We’ve gone snowshoeing, antiquing, hiking, boating, etc during our stays. Although we’ve stayed during all seasons, Christmas is my favorite. Jamie does such a beautiful job decorating the B&B. It’s magical!

This was our first B&B experience and Jamie and her husband Gary set the bar really high! We booked a stay to just be able to relax for our wedding anniversary and staying at the Applesauce Inn was exactly what we needed. Everything was very clean and well kept and the breakfast and treats were amazing. We also felt like we were treated like family which was so comforting. I really appreciated that Jamie cooked gluten free where applicable and that she told us where our food was sourced from (locally, mostly!). We have already recommended it to some friends and family if they're ever in the area and we look forward to booking another stay hopefully in the future!

Jamie is a very kind, compassionate host. She is an amazing cook and the farm fresh breakfasts are always top notch - as well as her desserts, which you can look forward to coming back to every evening. The farmhouse is amazingly loved, lived in, and decorated with so many intricate and antique items. The extras we had such as the afternoon tea and charcuterie board were great, and most of her food/meat/poultry/vegetables/fruits are all locally grown or grown in her own backyard. I'd rate this place 6/5 if I could!

Recently, my husband and I enjoyed a 3-night stay. Wow!!! The Applesauce Inn was beautifully decorated. Breakfasts and desserts were out of this world delicious. Jamie and Gary really take pride in providing a relaxing, comfortable setting. Their attention to detail proves it. Do not let an opportunity to enjoy this bed & breakfast pass.Rooms: The Napa room is beautifully decorated with vintage pieces as well as all the common areas. From the moment we entered the inn, we immediately felt at home.Nearby activities: Traverse City is located nearby with all that it has to offer. Also a short drive away are Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, numerous wineries and Mission Point Lighthouse.Food & drinks: Jamie is the most accommodating hostess. She modifies each breakfast and dessert to fit the culinary needs of her guests. Every breakfast has the freshest ingredients from her garden and her chickens and is adorned with the most delicious seasonings and syrups. We also looked forward to our evening dessert and the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.

What an absolutely wonderful inn! Even though our stay was short we felt right at home and rejuvinated thanks to Jamie's excellent hospitality. The inn itself is a beautiful house with a very cozy atmosphere and plenty to do nearby. The home cooked breakfasts each morning are divine and should not be missed, and I always appreciate when local ingredients are used. We will definitely be back the next time we are in this part of Michigan and I highly recommend it for anyone traveling through or staying in north Michigan.

If you’re curious about staying… my advice is BOOK IT! I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is. My mother in law and I stayed for a couple of days for a girls trip. We stayed in the Senora room. The room was just lovely. The bed was soft and cozy, the attached bathroom is spacious and full of all the personal touches to make your visit feel special. Jamie is the perfect host! Welcoming, around if you need her but not hovering. The breakfast is TO DIE FOR!!! And I am not a breakfast person. We booked the high tea add on package and oh boy what a treat that was!!! We planned to stay at the Inn and just relax. Read a book on the gorgeous covered wrap around porch, just talk and have a good visit, or we brought a puzzle to do. We ended up decided to do a puzzle and Jamie had no problem with letting us take over half the dining room table to do it. We had such a wonderful time working on the puzzle with music playing in the background and all the selection of options to tea, coffee, cocoa, or water made it perfect. We finished our 1,000 piece puzzle in one day! We hit it off with Jamie and felt like we were staying with an old friend. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided that we are going to make it an annual trip! I could go on and on with all the details that made us feel special but instead I am just going to say.. book the room and make the trip; you won’t be disappointed.Food & drinks: Amazing!Noteworthy details: Everything was perfect!!

I had the privilege of enjoying High Tea to celebrate my grandmothers birthday recently. Everything was beautiful and tasted wonderful. We love that the Inn uses a local suppliers tea, and makes all of the wonderful provisions in house. I had such a great time that afternoonHighly recommend!
