About The Lakeview Hotel at Shanty Creek Resort
The Lakeview Hotel at Shanty Creek Resort is an older hotel set in an amazing location overlooking the rolling hills and Lake Bellaire, offering a great and beautiful view. The rooms are nice and clean, with some featuring enjoyable balconies. However, the hotel is getting very tired and in need of repair and maintenance, with tons of stairs making it difficult for those with mobility concerns. Some rooms are dark and could use extra lighting. The restaurants on property offer excellent and exquisite food, and the staff are extremely helpful, enthusiastic, and trying their best, though the hotel is unfortunately understaffed. It is a very nice place for golfing, skiing, or enjoying the pool and changing views.
We stayed at the condos not the hotel - they had an awesome 4th of July fireworks- busy because they had a some kind of event but not a big deal for my family

Beautiful experience. Staff was amazing. The view was stunning. Rooms were comfortable. Highly recommend. Grabbed dinner at the bar and took it back to my room after catching the perfect sunset and it was yummy. Burger and waffle fries. Fast and perfectly cooked.
