Just FYI don't expect the same exceptional service that John and his son was providing. I don't believe they are working here anymore and may have retired. Now I wasn't aware until now after I drop my vehicle off. Usually John would be upfront about any charges if there is one. So from the new owners or part owners supposedly have signs posted on charges as such. Which half of John's regulars have no clue of the change til you come and pick up your vehicle. UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!!!AS A RESPONSE TO THE OWNER WHOM POSTING AFTER CALLING MY HUSBAND TO PICK UP MY CAR with an attitude. Keep referring to John John know us well he has been repairing our cars for over 15yrs. Now I come to pick up my car this Man the so called owner is very rude he tossed my keys to me and walked out. Asked the desk clerk what his name was she responded the Owner that doesn't have a name. 1st off Owner guy John would have told us from Jump that he would have to do a diagnostic test to find out what is wrong . John has a relationship with his customers that you need to work on as far as business goes you need to work on your attitude me and my husband has referred many customers to John over the years and never to now its been a problem. When I was there u could have addressed this issue but you didn't. For the record niw I will share thus experience with those I referred and will share with my social family. Have a blessed day!!! I didn’t know that John is now a silent partner until after the fact. I took my car there Wednesday 10/25/23 @7:30 am they didn’t start on it until almost 5pm when i got there. The receptionist told me it would be done by closing 5pm they hadn’t even started it.They wanted me to come back the following day. I insisted that they finish it right away. They billed me for 1.5 hrs when they only took 30 mins. I went up there to talk to manager about the charges he was trying to justify it. He didn’t refund any of my money. That shop is VERY DISHONEST. I will find another shop to go to. John’s reputation and shop WAS known for being honest has turned into to a place where customers are being cheated! Its a shame!!!

I want to preface that I've had many wonderful experiences here before, but this time, because a specific brake line did not get fixed like I specifically requested I ended up paying $400 for my front brake lines to fail AGAIN within a week and this time it ended up with me crashing into a fire hydrant and totaling my truck.Don't even know what 3rd brake line was fixed. Funny how they said 2 more on top of my two I said I wanted fixed were bad and one of them that I requested to get fixed wasn't even fixed.Like I said I have had several wonderful experiences across multiple vehicles but this time. I don't know what happened. I seriously don't.And yes I fixed my BACK PASSENGER rotors and brake pads like I said I would do the minute I got my truck back. Still had a whole nother leak and had to drop the gas tank to fix that one.

I moved to Michigan a couple of years ago, and only recently was able to afford to do work on my vehicle. I have found the local shop to fix what I need fixed. Honest, fair, and quick are words that describe that shop.They fixed my AC, replacing my compressor and recharging my system. It's good to have AC again after 4-5 years of no AC. Quick test to see where the leak was at before deciding replacing the compressor was the best solution (definitely my decision). This was the original suggestion by Ford 4 years ago (it was Friendly Ford in Roselle, IL, not Sieman's in Bridgman)...but I was not impressed with the level of information I got from them. John answered all my questions and kept me informed about the repairs. Cost to do all this (everything mentioned in this review) was less than what Ford was going to charge me for just replacing the compressor 4 years ago.They fixed my corroded transmission cooler lines, which I attempted to patch when they started leaking. I expected those would require complete replacement of the lines, as Ford would no doubt do if I asked them instead. They replaced the affected sections of the lines and saved me a good chunk of change. I'm sure they got a good laugh off the "patch" I applied.On basically the morning of the day I would get my truck back, I asked them to see if they could remove the rusty running boards on my truck. This was not something I asked them to do originally. They said no problem, and even offered to cut them from the truck if they couldn't unbolt them (the bolts were very rusty). They got them unbolted and there was no real delay in when truck was available for pickup. Very much improved the look of my truck...as they were a real eyesore. Thanks guys!Also got my transmission fluid and power steering fluid topped off while it was there. It's good to have power steering again.I'm just overall very happy with the money I spent with them. He doesn't want me to sink too much money into my 19 year old truck. However, it's not looking like I'll be switching vehicles any time soon, so I'll be bringing more business to them in the future. Definitely have some more stuff to fix.edit: A bit of clarity regarding this review. I was working for Autozone at the time as a delivery driver (I have quit since then). So I had regular contact with this shop as well as several other shops in the area. I chose this shop because of how I saw him conducting business. I feel it's important to include details like this as any prior relationship of any kind should be included when writing reviews like this. Transparency is best. My opinion on them remains the same.Services: Transmission

Had to get my starter replaced in a pinch. I was ready to cry after having called a couple other places and them quoting me an astronomical amount. I called John and he was super helpful and great to deal with. He gave me a really reasonable price and had my car in and out in just a few hours. I’ll definitely be back if my car gives me anymore fits!

Amazing people, I broke down on the side of the highway and limped my way to their shop. They started to help me out right away and even ordered the part I needed at a very good price. Very honest and reasonably priced!

Awesome service! We were about a 1/3 of the way through a road trip when our truck died at 2:30 am. We wait until 8 am just to have two shops turn us away, but John got us in and back on the road in less than two hours, with an affordable bill.
