According to the advertisement there was supposed to be a pool/hot tub and a resturaunt. There was neither of those things, there wasn’t even any coffee in the lobby.. the room itself was pretty decent, nice comfortable beds and clean bedding and a nice tv with internet access and a nice bathroom. That was the only thing going for it. If all I wanted for my group was a nice bed and bathroom I would’ve booked the $50 motel room down the road. No, I wanted to relax in the pool/hot tub and get drunk at the restaurant in the lobby so I paid the rediculous price that they charged for none of those things. I would highly recommend finding a different hotel if you want any of those things. The Marriott down the road was about the same price and I will be going there next time.

Avoid at all cost! This place is not maintained whatsoever. We checked out within 15 minutes, literally. I’ve never checked out of a hotel so fast. We were NOT sleeping there! It was so bad, we decided we’ll deal with the refund later. The front desk did not offer us a new room or any type of accommodation. AND when I contacted Wyndham, they couldn’t find my reservation, but just so happened to send a survey? Never again.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. First off they tried telling me I didn’t pay when I booked and tried to double charge me. The pool was closed, no vending machines, not even a water bottle in sight. No cups for water in the room, TV didn’t work, mold on the carpets and the bathroom wall. Elevator continuously got stuck, sketchy cameras EVERYWHERE. Lock didn’t work to the hotel room and our room number was written on the door in sharpie. It stunk like marijuana and cigarette smoke so bad we walked into the room, looked at it for about 5 min, grabbed our stuff and walked out and drove home. The receptionist tried telling me they only do refunds on Mondays? He didn’t seem surprised when we left. There was no trash can, no microwave, no cups or soap, no sheets and exposed wires everywhere. I wouldn’t let a wild animal sleep here

The section we stayed in was old because it had not yet been remodeled, however the city was full and it was the only thing available. I feel like they definitely should not have charged $125! The breakfast that was included was toast....that was all.........workers were friendly and I was with my family so we made the best of the situation and enjoyed each other's company....thats the important part.....however it was not far from the beach and needless to say we will never forget that stay lol

The room was so smokey and dirty I didn't stay, I asked for a refund and didn't receive it yet. Hotel unsafe. Moldy and dirty smoky carpets.

Don’t stay here and please don’t bring kids. The bathroom is atrocious. The “new” rooms only had new flooring. They are under construction but need to be condemned. I stayed here two years ago and they were under construction then too. Noting is new, no pool no closets in rooms. The parking lot is large but pot hole city. My kids and I are terrified. They only allow two towels and wash clothes per room it’s 5 of us. This is the hotel of horrid. I’ll be seeing this place in my nightmares. Then to make matters worse they double charged me. I asked for a refund and they can’t do refunds. The rooms are filthy. Hotel is dusty and musty.Nearby activities: The beachSafety: Not safe electrical wires exposedNoteworthy details: Hotel of horrors

So if you've started reading reviews on this place you've already decided to just keep driving. It's bad.. very bad. It's smelly, run down and even a bit scary. However, I would have loved to seen this place when it was new. The pool area looks like it used to be amazing back in its day. If those walls could talk I bet ot would tell stories about many great times! Unfortunately it appears that those times are long gone. It's actually kinda sad.

Terrible. Looked abandoned. Pool full of old mattresses. Room was dirty and smelled awful. Doors didn't lock, lamp and TV didn't work. Did not stay and haven't gotten credited back yet. Place should be condemned

Can I give less than one star? If so, I do. This place is an unsafe dump. The desk will try to get you to sign a statement agreeing to no refund if you don't complain about your room within ten minutes of checking in. I told them I wouldn't agree to it. They didn't care. The pool is closed until further notice. There is no continental breakfast anymore. The building has broken equipment, and the parking lot is full of questionable individuals and business. Go stay anywhere else in Benton Harbor.

Our stay at this hotel was abysmal. The room was supposed to have a hair dryer and a coffee maker which it did not. The blanket on the bed was made of foam rubber. The microwave had no glass plate in it so it was unusable. The balcony door was welded shut. They did not have a breakfast as advertiized. The pool has been closed since march of 2020 and was closed by the county health department for failing all criteria. They have stacked used mattresses. And old lamps in this area. They had coffee in the lobby but no cups to put it in. All in all a very run down hotel.

I had the best experience at this hotel. We had a luxury jacuzzi that fit all 4 of us. The pillows and the towels were the softest I’ve ever felt. The costumer service was fantastic. Whatever you want, they bring to you. It was so cozy, I highly recommend to all my friends and family. This is the best hotel in Michigan, and maybe in the Midwest.-Kasia, Brandy, Dorothy, and Jacqueline

We were suppose to stay for 1 night swim, getaway for my kiddos. It turned out the pool which was nicely advertised on Expedia where I booked my hotel does not hold true in real life. Their pool is dried out and dilapidated. My son's heart sunk in disappointment. We drove back home same night, did not even check in in our room. I tried to cancel with front desk, he told me he could not do any refund. Do not believe the pools ', tub's pic.

This place needs to be condemned. We chose this place because of the pictures online of the pool which must have been taken years ago as the pool was closed by the health department (there was a sign from the state by the pool) and was litterally being used as storage for old mattresses and lamps. The workout room is closed and the arcade doesn't exist and there is no restaurant like advertised either. The place was disgusting. It smelled bad like smoke, mold, and wet dog. We stayed one night with no where else to go and I wish we slept in the car because my husband and i both woke up feeling sick probably from the dirty wall unit air conditioner. The carpet was ripped up in the dingy hallways that looked like something out of a horror movie. There was only one towel in bathroom pathetically trying to cover the knife slashes in the dirty wallpaper. Tub was filthy, carpet so nasty I would not recommend walking barefoot. It was our anniversary and we paid extra for a jaccuzi in the room. Im not sure if it worked as it was so dirty we were afraid to get in it. In the room there was no coffee maker, micro wave, iron, or hair dryer, or blanket on the bed, and vending machines were empty and not working but honestly that's the least of concerns. There are residents here and true safety issues. I originally booked 2 nights based off of the photos online and quickly wanted to cancel my 2nd night stay. Front desk was rude gave me the run around tried to say eventhough I booked directly to their site I had to cancel through wyndham. I called wyndham immediately and they said that they needed to have the front desk verify to cancel asked me to hold while they called them. I walked out and heard front desk phone ringing front desk says they can't answer to authorize cancelation without a manager who would be there in the morning, it was a huge circle j*** and no one was willing to help. We only slept there didnt even shower it was just too gross. Cost almost 200 dollars for the night!! In the morning we checked out and when I asked for proof that we checked out the guy who was in the managers office who said he wasn't the manager went off on me until my husband yelled at him to not talk to me that way. It was by far the worst stay and customer service I've ever experienced to the point that I don't think I'll ever stay at a Wyndum sponsored hotel again. False advertising, terrible sanitary conditions, one night stay and i woke up sick, and rude staff, along with customer service lines to Wyndham not willlong to resolve issues. You are better off sleeping in your car!!

There were exposed staples between the carpet and tile floor, which could easily cut your feet. There were Knife marks in the wallpaper in our bathroom.Overall the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. The TV had 11 channels and some of them even had sound.. honestly you get what you pay for.Cheap is cheap.

Booked through Priceline.Arrived and noticed the building was under construction. Opened up the room and seen absolute filth on the walls. Bodily fluids smeared with what appeared to be boogers….!!!! Beyond the smell, the A/C unit(which was a Walmart window unit) was sealed with painters tape and very dirty. I peeled a 1/2” layer of dirt out of the filter. The bathroom was dirty with drip ceiling tiles mangled and out of place. You could see into the ceiling of the adjacent room. Then the pool area was closed with mattresses and refrigerators stacked up everywhere. The staff was nice but in disbelief that my room was so dirty?!Had to dispute charges after 1-1/2 hrs on the phone.Ended up an hour away at a very clean and sanitary Hotel.
