We purchased this KitchenAid microwave (model #KMHS120KPS01) just two years ago, and I’m already dealing with serious quality issues. The interior paint is bubbling and peeling, which is both disappointing and unacceptable for an appliance at this price point. When I reached out to KitchenAid for support, I quickly realized that customer care ends once the sale is made—they offered no meaningful help. I chose this brand expecting durability and reliability, but this experience has proven otherwise. Buyers beware!

Do not buy kitchenaid. All your doing is overpaying for a product that will only fail you the moment you are out of warranty. Then you get to pay the same price just to have someone who is kitchenaid authorized who likley doesnt understand what they are doing show up to tell you they dont have the parts to repair or fix your appliance. Do yourself a favor and buy anything but kitchenaid or any of their affiliates.
The only reason this is one star not zero is because the can make a stand up mixer and google wont allow it.

My KitchenAid malfunctioned, and when I tried to get my one year warranty, I was denied even though I had everything I needed to get my warranty proof of purchase, even though I did not have the receipt I have proof of purchase the date and where it was purchased from And they still refuse to give me my refund. Or send me a new KitchenAid I use the KitchenAid three times and it malfunctioned and now does not work It was purchased as a Christmas of 2024 we were basically told to kick rocks and it’s not their problem so they don’t honor their warranty so disappointed

I will never buy Whirlpool associated brand appliances again.
Customer service is horrible. First run of my KitchenAid oven almost burnt down my house. Both Lowe’s and the local fire department said do not run the oven again and their phone support is calling this burn off and to run the oven again.
There was black ooze out of the bottom burner pan and I couldn’t breathe in my house.

I purchased a 23.8 counter depth refrigerator in Aug 2020 that cost 4700.00. Sept 2025 it was no longer maintaining its temperature. A service call was performed and we were notified that the compressor no longer worked and the repair would be 1800.00. I called customer service and I was on hold the first time for 2 hours prior to speaking with anyone, then transferred to 3 other departments that could not assist me. I was transferred to the fourth department that had a recording saying it was closed. I called again the next day, again on hold two hours then requested a call back that took another two hours. The stated the only thing they could offer was a 20% coupon on a new appliance that needs to be purchased within thirty days. I just want to say I am so disappointed in kitchen aid. I have believed in your products as my entire kitchen had kitchen aid appliances. 1 month after the warranty expires there is absolutely nothing you can do? I think you should start by making sure you are selling good and reliable products. Four thousand dollars is a lot to invest into your company to have you sell faulty products and not stand behind their performance. I had a old Kitchen aid refrigerator that lasted 20 years no issues. I bought the new model and it breaks in 5 years with no accountability on you behalf. No more Kitchen aid for me.

I bought 7 kitchen aide appliances when I renovated my house back in 2018. My refrigerator was around 3,000.00 and just recently the ice machine stopped making ice, a few days later the freezer, a few weeks later the refrigerator stopped being cold. I spent almost $10,000 on kitchenAid appliances. Recently, I tried to get in touch with someone and it is absolutely impossible. It's an automated system and all you wanna do is talk to a representative and you can't even do that. I have two houses and I have to say unfortunately I would never ever buy another KitchenAid product. It is totally unacceptable after just seven years for the whole refrigerator to break. Not only will I not buy another KitchenAid product, I will tell everyone I know not to buy one. It would be nice for someone from kitchen aide to call me !
Stay clear of kitchen aide appliances. If I could give 0 stars I would !

Do not under any circumstances buy a kitchen aid appliance of any kind. I bought a kitchen aid refrigerator for $3500, the freezer froze over on a regular basis, and basically was unusable almost immediately. We bought a new home, which came with a $2500 kitchen aid gas cooktop, after 4 months of living in the new place, an explosion occurred from a malfunction on the cooktop. When contacting customer service they tell you it's out of warranty, so too bad. I will never again own anything kitchen aid.

Chat does not work, never!
Customer service line, you cannot speak to a person!
Email no answer!
Try ordering a part for your dishwasher, which is a total rip-off. Look at the ratings these guys have on Google, it says everything. They do not care. Buy American, hooray!

We bought a kitchen aid dishwasher u set 1 year ago. There is power to the dishwasher however, the buttons to turn it on don’t work. Service person came and said we need a new control board and it will take 5-7 days. It’s been 6 weeks! I called and asked for the part to be shipped overnight. The response I got was “I can’t “. Not good enough kitchen aid. Last product I ever buy from you. Who is following up on my behalf? Who is keeping the customer up to date? No one! Absolutely brutal.

I'm reporting this company to the BBB and SEC for fraud. They are intentionally shipping the wrong product entirely or product shipped with the wrong parts. Won't take accountability and tell you, you have to buy the parts needed. I bet they have armed guards on site like Comcast because their customer service is so terrible.
