Bought what I thought was a new stove from lowes yesterday and noticed the top was shredded alittle bit and when I asked the associate he said he had ripped it to make sure it was the right stove and sent me on my way! I go to install it in one of my rentals and there's a dead racoon in the bottom of the box and there's shit and debris all over from it trying to escape.. i have been in this business for 10 years and never saw anything like this be4 probably cause I choose manards but had ro go to lowes in a pinch... this is the last time they will ever receive my business I will take myself and my $15000 a month I spent elsewhere....

Will never do business again. Called them on an emergency basis because of a burst water heater. Specified size and location. They didn't ask for photos. Lowes contractor arrived, took a look, and refused to install the heater because he "thought" the wiring wasn't up to code. He didn't know. He didn't contact the township. He just wouldn't do the job. Told me I had to find out from my local building inspector. Additionally, they brought the wrong water heater. I needed a 40 gallon they brought a 50 gallon. When you tell someone "it's an emergency". They should ask for all the information they need not show up unprepared. At this point it's possible I'll be without hot water for a week or more. More time off work? Who do these people think their customers are?

We ordered a new washer and they were to deliver it today between noon and 4pm. When they still weren't here at 4:30, we called the delivery department, who said he could not reach the driver, but would keep trying and would call us back when he'd spoken to the driver about delivery time. It's now 8pm and nobody has called or showed up to deliver...

I ordered French door for about $1,500 from the store. It has been nearly 4 months with no update. It is impossible to get customer service or manager. Give your money to Home Depot or Ace.

1 cashier open with 10 people in line. One self scan lane open and people trying to use it that don't know how. Employees walking around doing nothing and don't know anything.

Your service SUCKS! Over seven minutes on the phone waiting for someone in the lumber department to answer the phone... The manager even transferred me and still no one answers. I wanted to purchase a thousand dollars worth of lumber, I won't happen there; I'll go somewhere else. HIRE more people!

There was a time back in the 2000's that I preferred Lowe's as my Home Improvement center, but they have gone to absolute garbage. Not that most items are 20% to 35% higher than other home improvement stores. But the larger items like appliances are competitively priced. Which brings me to my current complaint. Incompetence on the highest level. Rude. Had to pick up my own delivery. Was promised a discount and never received it. Just the worst service. Absolute crap. I would not buy something from Lowe's unless I had to. If I did not need clean and dry clothing the fours days earlier when I spent all that money on a dryer? I would have demanded a refund. Everyone I talked to tried to cancel my order. I asked when I would get my money back. I was given a total lie about discount that I did not receive. Then when I got a tuck there no one knew what was going on. It's one thing for me to be patient and understanding while the staff is rude and incompetent, but to promise a discount and then I show up and not a single soul knew why I was there or how to help. Where's my $150. Lowe's is crap.

Wonderful shopping experience. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. Lowes Michigan City is also very friendly. Lowes Benton Harbor is exceptional. The best.

Ever since I was a kid I have been dragged to Lowe's but now it doesn't take as much force. When I was a teen i liked it because they had a streetpass relay at the store, although I believe they have gotten rid of that. I love the lights section. They capture my ADD attention, because shiny. They have a great variety of kitchen appliances, washers/dryers, paint, organizational tools, home decor and even lawn keeping equipment. Their grills in the summer are always top notch. Their staff is always quick and friendly. My recent visit I was waiting in line and the employee at the register, Linda, was patiently helping an elderly lady and she was able to do it quickly, moving on to us in only a few minutes. Thanks Lowes for being awesome.

I'm new to this Lowe's store and the difference between this store and the Michigan City Lowe's is remarkable. I waited forever for someone to help at the appliance area and the lawn and garden area. It wasn't due to inattentive workers, they were helping others, but in my opinion, there weren't enough workers, or they were chatting about their own personal lives. When the appliance person had time to help me he was wonderful and helpful, but he was also stocking shelves, and there was only one person handling that area. Not cool when people are looking to purchase appliances! I was having a conversation with family and friends and they said even if you pay more, go to Home Depot! I did go there and they were amazing. But didn't have the grill I wanted. I went to Meijer and got it $60 cheaper than Lowe's! Also, the delivery on my appliances is 4 weeks out! Yikes! Now I have to spend money at the laundromat. Again, not cool! I did not get a deal at Lowes.

They've stopped trying. No notification when my order arrived (was supposed to get an email), then they were confused about where my order was for pickup, then got home and found 25% of my order was unusably damaged--good thing I ordered too much. When I called they only said, "you can return them." No apology at my project being delayed another two weeks because of their mishandling. I was trying to give them another chance. They stopped renting delivery trucks. Their board cutting area is out of order. The Home Depot is literally across the street. Bye

Understaffed, yes. I've waited for a few minutes for assistance with an air conditioner and gave up entirely on help with a gas grill, but this was when Sears was still extant. Not an option any more. Installation affiliates, possibly--my one experience with this Lowe's was stellar: my husband and I had laminate flooring installed and the affiliate was prompt, skilled, and funny ("Do you know which room it is?" "The one painted in University of Michigan colors?" (We hadn't realized how bright the yellow and blue would turn out to be.)) That said, 98% of the time I've come in for gardening supplies and patio cushions/furniture, selected what I wanted, purchased it and driven away. Minimal staff intervention needed, thankyouverymuch.

Let me just say the delivery guy was very nice but everyone else was trash. I ordered a washer and dryer and I called ahead before to make sure it was in stock and they told me it was. So I ordered it and the day before my delivery, I checked online to see what time it was coming and it said it had been cancelled. I called them and had to be transferred 5 times for them to tell me they don't know why it was cancelled. They told me they would call me back but they never did. So I called them the next day and they tell me it is out of stock and that is why it was cancelled. They couldn't tell me why I wasn't told it was cancelled or when it would be in stock. So I called the corporate number and they told me it actually was in stock and that they can deliver it next week. In the confirmation email, it said it would be deliveries between 7 am- 9pm. So I called them and told them I am not available in the mornings because I am in school and they told me to call back the day before my delivery. So I call them the day before and they told me I have to wait and call back the morning of the delivery (let me remind you this was a manager I was speaking to). So I call the morning of delivery and they said "you will have to wait until the driver calls you". So I wait for him to call me and I tell the problem and he told me that I should have not been told that information from the manager. They were able to deliver it but I would not recommend ordering from this location.
