I rented the cargo van, which drove very well, my trip with this vehicle was over a 100 miles and I was surprised by the gas mileage that I got out of it; my average was 19.3 miles per gallon with an average speed of 59 miles per hour. Vehicle was clean and full of gas. Staff at the facility was friendly and helpful, if I ever needed another rental, I would rent from here again.

Tried to get propane tank refilled and was told they could not refill if it was raining, even if it was just a sprinkle. Went elsewhere to buy propane. Will not be doing business with them in the future. Must be nice to do nothing and still get paid. Zero stars.

Attn: U-Haul manager,Your system has some serious flaws that are detrimental to your customers!1) Specify better on your website that cargo vans are "in-town" rentals only and must be picked up/dropped off at the same location. When I indicated that my mileage was going to be ~1,200 miles, that should have been a big red flag to you that my rental was not "in-town."2) If you say that "a local U-Haul representative will call you by 6pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022 to get agreement on and schedule available time, equipment and location, " make sure that happens because it didn't.3) When I sent a message to you via your website specifically telling you that I was picking up the cargo van in Benton Harbor, MI and dropping it off at a different location in FL, make sure someone reads those messages and acts accordingly.4) When a rep tells me that my new 10' truck rental will total $500, make sure that the rep puts those notes in your system or if he did, make sure that the counter rep can see those notes.On 6/12/22, Cody told me that the TOTAL would be $500 INCLUDING the Safe Move insurance. He didn't say that any applicable fees and tax would be in addition to that. He said the TOTAL would be $500.On 6/13/22, when I picked up the truck, the counter rep told me that the total was $624.34. That's a big difference from $500! $124.34 to be exact. The counter rep was unable to help me and neither she nor I could get a hold of a U-Haul rep via phone.On 6/20/22, I sent an email to U-Haul's Customer Service explaining these issues and asked for a refund in the amount of $124.34. I have yet to hear back from them regarding that.U-Haul has some serious internal problems, broken systems and poor management IMO.It would be nice if someone there did the right thing, contacted me about the above and honored my refund request.

WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. SCAMMERS. I had an appointment at 11am on 04/02/22 and when I arrived I went to the front desk and told them I was here to drop my keys off for my trailer hitch install. the two men behind the counter looked at each other and kept smirking and then told me my appointment for install was at 9am and they tried to call me but it rang and went to voice-mail. they told me their install guy left and wouldn't be back until 04/03. I asked for a refund in which I was denied because I had to get a new credit card two days prior and the old one is no longer active. I called Carol King, the general manager and she lied straight to me and said she left me multiple messages and that she didn't have anyone to do the instal on 04/03. I had no voice mails or communication regarding the change. contacted the company president and he said he would call back when he was in front of a computer and still has not called back. I've paid $400 for the install. this is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will not be using Uhaul ever again. I'm only giving 1 star because it was easy to make my appointment. Called customer service and she was extremely rude and then hung up on me. The whole staff in the benton harbor location needs to be fired.

They keep taking money out of my account. Charged me for a dolly that was returned! An extra 40 for idk what. This is ridiculous!!! Close to 200 they have stolen from me! They are not professional at all!

The manager Carol King needs to be Fired. For 3 days trying to return u hauls equipment. I bought a 15 foot storage that is (not) 15 feet. We had portable storage containes blocking are storage door for 2 days ! AND NOT 1 TIME NOT 1 TIME DID ANY ANY OF THE EMPLOYEES COME TO HELP .. I was told thay are reporting the rented equipment stolen. For I've had to eat the cost of gas time and work / lost wages due to complete laziness and customer service. only when i stared taking pictures is when someone moved the u haul thing and storage box from my door. Im going to have to file small claims

I got great service from start to finish.Carol and Eric helped me out getting a wiring harness installed while I was in town on a road trip. The van had been held at Ford for a month and a half before I left while they waited on a part so I didn't get the chance to do it before I left. I knew it was short notice and I had a small window of time that I would be in town. They didn't give me any issues!I got the impression that Eric came in on his day off to help me out with this but he was completely cool about it and if it had messed with his plans at all he didn't show it. Both were friendly and helpful the whole time I was there.I really feel blessed that this got done today so I can pick up my custom trailer in a few days.
