THIS IS NOT THE SAME MAYTAG THAT YOUR MOM AND DAD AND GRANDMA AND GRANDPA USE TO PURCHASE. BACK THEN THEY WERE BUILT TO LAST AND TOOK AN INTEREST IN THE PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. UNFORTUNATELY WHEN WHIRLPOOL PURCHASED MAYTAG IS WHEN CUSTOMER SERVICE WENT OUT THE WINDOW! WE PURCHASED A MAYTAG BRAVOS XL WASHER AND DRYER AND THE LID BROKE AT THE HINGE IN THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER. LITTLE PLASTIC PIECES STARTED TO BREAK OFF AND LEAVE THE METAL HINGE EXPOSED WHERE YOU COULD SEE THE BAD ENGINEERING. THE HINGE PUSHES OUTWARDS AND FLEXES ON THE CHEAP PLASTIC INNER LID. I CALLED MAYTAG AND THEY RELUCTANTLY REPLACED IT AFTER A FEW CALLS AND ME SHOWING THE PROOF ONLINE THAT EVERYONE WHO OWNS THE WASHER HAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. THE PROBLEM IS I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO BE AN ISSUE AGAIN AND EVEN TOLD THEM BUT THEY DIDN'T CARE AND THEY ACTED LIKE THEY WERE DOING ME A FAVOR... 6 MONTHS LATER I CALLED THEM BACK WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND THEY TOLD ME SORRY THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING... I CONTINUED TO EMAIL THEM PROOF OF ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS AND THEY WOULDN'T EVEN GET BACK TO ME UNLESS I WAITED 30-45 MINUTES ON HOLD TO TALKE WITH SOMEONE. EVEN THE INSTALL TECH SAYS HE REPLACES THAT LID ALMOST WEEKLY AND IT'S THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. MAYTAG YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR NOT STANDING UP WITH YOUR PRODUCT WHEN YOU KNOW WHOLE HEARTEDLY YOU HAVE A PRODUCT ENGINEERING ISSUE WITH THE BRAVO XL LID!!! SO FRUSTRATING THAT WHIRLPOOL IS IN CHARGE AND HIRES PEOPLE AND TRAINS THEM TO SAY NO!!! IT'S YOUR FAULT!! CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE CLEAR PROOF WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS AND PROFESSIONAL INSTALLERS THAT SAY THEY WILL STAND UP AND TALK TO WHIRLPOOL OR ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN ABOUT THIS LID ISSSUE.MAYTAG YOU ARE NOT THE SAME COMPANY THAT MOM AND DAD USE TO BUY, THE STUFF LASTED BACK THEN AND THEY BACKED UP THEIR PRODUCT!!LANCE BRADSHAWFARMINGTON UT

The KitchenAid KUIX535HPA Ice Maker. After a year, it leaked and caused $3,000 damage to our wood floor. I filed a claim with them - it was denied because I could not identify the part. Back up...When I called Whirlpool about the ice machine going on and off and the floor damage, they told me to turn off ice maker and cut off water...I did. Within weeks they installed the new machine. They have the machine. I have pictures of moisture filled floorboards in front and behind the ice maker, but because I don't have the part (machine in their possession)..they will not pay. Horrible customer service.

Purchased replacement freezer shelf model WRX986SIHZ01 due to broken face which local authorized dealer installed, which didn't stop other shelf faces from disconnecting & breaking. Horrendous response from Whirlpool continuing to sell replacement faces instead of solving problem. Vanguard beware

Whirlpool sucks...My less than 2 year old refrigerator stopped cooling and needs a new compressor and several other parts and one part is backordered until who knows when. As of today we have been without a refrigerator for 9 days and whirlpool informed me it could be another 2 weeks or longer before they have the part. I am using coolers to try to keep my food cold. The absolute worse part of this is my daughter is a cancer survivor and has to take medication that has to be refrigerated at a certain temperature which is close to impossible to do with a cooler. If my daughter gets sick because sorry whirlpool can't fix our refrigerator, when I'm finished with them I will own a part of whirlpool. The bad thing is they don't even care.

Don't buy a Maytag dryer. I always read reviews with a skeptical point of view so I have never written a negative one. But our dryer has been a problem for over 3 years. We bought the extended warranty and after spending $819 on dryer, $250 on warranty and another $800 because they said we needed to shorten our vent. I still have loads that are so wrinkled they look s though they have been rung out & just allowed to air dry(the repair person's comment). After 4 months of calls to customer service, 5 different techs coming out, speaking to their techline, etc. I emailed the CEO, Marc Bitzer, & President, Alessandro Perucchetti, and have gotten no response, not even an admin saying we are looking into it. Whirlpool just needs to say it is not repairable and the warranty people would send me a check. If the heads of the company have no respect fro their customers why should all the employees in between. They should really be ashamed of themselves. As should New Leaf, the warranty company. I won't do that again either:)If I used Google photos I would attach a photo, but they were send to the Execs.

Whirlpool sold me an expensive dryer that has never actually dried my clothes. The service people can't figure out how to fix it so they tell me it isn't broken. I'm not making this up or even exaggerating. How do I give them zero stars?

Had a new washer delivered on 12/23/2023. There was no physical damage to the unit, which is why I accepted the delivery. Upon 1st usage of the unit late night 12/24/2023, I noticed the water level would not adjust. Despite the size of the load, small, medium, or large, the water level remained the same. Even when deep water wash was selected, the water lever remained the same. I tried troubleshooting over the phone with Whirlpool. Customer service suggested running a cycle with water only to recalibrate the washer. Still no change. A service appointment was made. The 1st tech to come out saw that water was entering the tub and summed it up to the washer functioning properly. Keep in mind, that not more than a gallon of water entered the wash tub. I can maybe wash 3 clothing articles if I use this washer. That is only if it is 1 pair of jeans and 2 shirts. I called to request for a 2nd opinion. Whirlpool scheduled a 2nd service appointment with a different vendor. This vendor was initially the 1st vendor who was scheduled to come out, Solar Appliance. They have rescheduled 3 times. Every time it is time for the vendor to come, the service appointment is delayed further and further. I am still stuck with an appliance that does not function properly. Therefore, I am unable to do laundry. I now must go to the laundry mat to spend additional more money. This is ridiculous! I paid too much money already for this new unit and should not have to endure any of this. No one should! Contacting Whirlpool is like contacting no one at all. They could care less. I have been given the constant run around. Consumers should be experiencing issues with new products this early on. As opposed to Whirlpool replacing the unit, they keep scheduling service appointments know they will continuously be delayed. While we, the consumers, continue to shell out more money. I opted for the Whirlpool brand because they have been around for a very long time and used to be a trusted name. I wish I’d come here to read reviews of other issues customers were experiencing with Whirlpool before purchase. Whirlpool no longer offers quality products or services and should just go out of business. To say I am frustrated, disappointed, angered, etc would be an understatement. I truly wanted to love this washer and was so excited about the removeable agitator. To those of you considering the Whirlpool washer with removeable agitator: Whirlpool 3.8 - 3.9 cu.ft. Top Load Washer in White with 2 in 1 Removable Agitator Model: WTW4957PW, Serial: CC4203538….STAY AWAY & STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL

I bought a new washer & dryer. From day 1 the dryer did not work. It doesn't get hot, only cold air. After several weeks of dealing with inefficient customer service reps I still have no resolution. They are "looking" for someone to come and fix it. Unacceptable service!! If I wanted to deal with getting my dryer fixed I would have fixed my old one. I bought an expensive set thinking I'd treat myself. I cannot dry clothes at my house. To date it's been 7+ weeks. Still no repair in sight. Why do I have to wait to get a brand new appliance fixed!?! I'm beyond livid. NEVER buy Whirlpool.

Whirlpool has the worst customer service system I have ever experienced. I tried to find out why they sent me a second refrigerator water filter (and charged me for it). I didn't order it. After an hour of trying to get help and being sent back and forth several times I just gave up. I guess that is what they hoped I would do. I did talk to two people and explained my problem to each of them but they just said they couldn't help nor could they connect me to a supervisor nor could they connect me directly to the "correct" department. Word to the wise - Do Not order water filters from them EVER! I can see why they get such lousy reviews. I regret having purchased the $5000 worth of appliances two years ago. Worst company I have ever dealt with in my 75 years on this earth!!

Bought a new whirlpool washer in October 2023 have had nothing but trouble from day one. Either it takes two and a half hours to do a normal load or you go and check your wash and it says done when you check the clothes they are totally dry. Or load's never rinse or spin. Put it on spin and drain it goes through a complete wash cycle. I can do better to go down the creek and wash them the old fashion way. Ken h.

I had a new Whirpool W/D (Duet) delivered from Home Depot today, to replace a similar 13 year old unit from Whirlpool which served me well. The Washer worked, but the Dryer turned out to be a lemon. It would not turn ON...and this is a brand new unit. So they delivery org hauled it away and I have to wait for another 5 days to get a replacement unit. I am collecting all my loose quarters to visit the local Laundromat.

Having recently purchased my Whirlpool Over the Range low profile microwave it was installed. For the second time in the first week, the glass tray turntable slides off the turntable ring and hard plastic base. There is a distinct clunking that occurs if the turntable isn't properly set. So how do I properly set the turntable? Today, a Pyrex measuring cup of hot water slid off the glass, because the ring wasn't properly placed. The cup of hot water could have tipped fully and burned me. The "user guide" is more like a pamphlet, 8 sheets in all, has limited user information. It is a poor excuse as a guide to how to use your new appliance. There is conflicting information regarding which type of lamp bulbs to use, (both halogen and LED are mentioned, but it doesn't say which is where), the charcoal replacement filters and If you have to remove it to clean it, you want to know it's secure. I called product support for answers. The lady rep had nothing else to offer, only offering to ship me a new "rubber ring" that isn't rubber at all. Or I could arrange for a technician to come. Really? They skimp on the user guide, offering no certain instructions to know it's stable. The rep could only say to place it in the middle. I asked for a supervisor. She could submit a computer generated ticket for a supervisor to call me in four business hours, but that would not be until Monday! I agreed to the ring being shipped, and to the supervisor calling, but in my experience, these calls never come. Everything today happens on the corporations time table. The sun, the moon, and Venus need to align. I do not recommend any Whirlpool product. If you buy a product, the owners manual should be a user manual, not a thin span of white paper I can see through.

I wrote a bad review and a complaint at the BBB against Whirlpool Corporate and someone called me to patronize me about my microwave handle back order with Lowe's appliances parts, which I already knew. I ordered the microwave plastic broken handle replacement back in September 2023 and it is January 2024, no part replacement arrived and the only excuse Lowe's had was that they were still waiting on Whirlpool to make the part. Apparently Whirlpool's Chinese sweatshop is too busy making their low quality plastic microwave handle and ship to the USA. We just need to thank our government for allowing American Companies to move to China to lower our high quality standards and settle for GARBAGE!

Warning! Whirlpool refrigerators are coming in damaged. I had worse luck trying to order a refrigerator from Whirlpool. I had insulation come out of the refrigerator, and the corner of the bottom door was damaged. The attempt to deliver another refrigerator yesterday was damaged as well; that particular refrigerator had dents. The delivery man took that refrigerator back with them. For some reason, I received the wrong size, the wrong color, or it was damaged. I have been trying to order a refrigerator from Whirlpool since July 2023, and I have been out of a refrigerator for months now, costing me a lot by going out every day to eat. Whirlpool could care less about customers since they're such a big corporation. My advice since I was patient with Whirlpool by having four refrigerators attempted to deliver since July is to go directly with the smaller company and perhaps with a different brand.
