They are a class act.
The lumberyard guys are top notch.
There are not many businesses around of this caliber. They used a plainer on my cutting board. No charge. Even told me what to finish it with. Totally worth the drive across town. Great place.

Absolutely horrible experience with this location. Customer service was extremely disorganized, and failed to be transparent about their return policy, with special orders. The owners Chris and Jerry were of zero help and basically told me that there’s nothing they can do to make a simple return. Very disappointed and I would advise against doing any business with this location

Durst lumber yard was a pleasure to work with for ordering and delivering lumber to my daughter's house in Oak Park for a deck building project. I live out of town and they allowed me to place the order and pay by phone, and then had the lumber delivered to her house a few hours before I arrived to begin the project. They could not have been more helpful, and everything went extremely well! I also visited Durst in person to make an exchange (only 2 deck boards were not as I liked them), and then again the next day to make a return for credit for a few extra 2x6 boards. All transactions were friendly and extremely easy.

Didn't have the standard size furnace filter that I needed. They don't have enough room on the shelf for different grades of filters. I went to another Ace hardware and picked it up.

Very helpful hardware store. Was able to get names of local installers of gutters. They are a lumber yard also,and they have hard to find molding that some of the vintage homes in the area might require. Great place to shop.
