My review focuses largely on the retail side of Rite-Aid and not the pharmacy, as I use a different pharmacist.
The staff here are always friendly, greeting people on their way in and out. Unfortunately, Rite-Aid woefully understaffs their stores and that's true here, too. Sometimes, it can be difficult for the employees to handle stock, cleanup, and guests, though they always make customers a priority.
My main problem comes from stock. Half the time, when I come in for something, it's not in stock despite the app showing it to be. This can be problematic when my kiddo is unwell or someone feels sick fairly late in the evening. Rite-Aid has the best proximity to downtown Berkley so it's a central location for most residents, and its fairly extended hours make a visit for OTC medications pretty easy. However, it's painful when choosing between Target, Meijer, or a drugstore at 9:30 PM when symptoms come on, knowing they're all going to close in 30 minutes. I really find it frustrating to source basic options I'm looking for with the app/website because what they say will be on the shelf more often than not hasn't been.
This isn't the employees' fault so much as Rite-Aid's limitation. However, it means that I default elsewhere for medications when it matters most. If I'm just stopping in to grab something to drink or pick up a card, then not having an item I need is pretty reasonable. However, when we're talking something for a stomach upset, bandaids, or cough medication for a child, the drugstore hasn't served me well.
This location like all locations in Michigan will be closing soon and I'm sad for the employees, who have always been kind.

I read a review that says the store is a bit small. I would say it is just right for our community. Ample parking they share with the post office works well for all the patrons. The staff is second to none. Love the lady at the front. Super friendly, and y'all know I like to to talk to people. I dig the store and staff. Have a kickass day, Berkley!

Consistently forgets to give me all of my prescriptions when I go pick them up. This happens at least once a month

I have been a regular customer for 10 years. Staff is always friendly & helpful. Pharmacy is equally as helpful & very prompt with prescriptions.

The staff at this store seem to be very helpful and respectful. But the pharmacy is a different. They are never able to fill my prescriptions unless I enter the store and request it or call in advance to request if the prescription is filled. They seem to have my medications prescribed: so I always have to wait for them to order medications : which is an always an inconvenience because I have to approach the pharmacy to find this out. Additionally, the pharmacy will inform that a prescription is not covered by your insurance; but yet is unable to fill the prescription even if the customer offers to pay for it. Why would a pharmacy run an authorization for a prescription/medication that they do not have in stock or can't fill anyway?. I will not return to this pharmacy again because I am never able to walk into this pharmacy and have a decent experience. Please
