This bank literally thrives and makes its money off fees, hard pass. Choose a bank that doesn’t tell you one thing and then rip you off when you go in to close your account. Happy to never be banking with them again!

Thoroughly satisfied with my recent loan. With help and guidance from Karen, I was able to close on a land purchase in one months time. The process was smooth and the terms we agreeable. I would recommend pursuing a loan here.

I have one of my mortgages through this bank and it is literally the slowest service in the world. They do not have online pay. EVERY single month I do not get my statement until around the 22nd or later- that gives me less then a week to pay. I just contacted the bank about my tax statement (it is the last tax document I'm waiting on) and they told me they will be going out tomorrow, January 31st. Unacceptable, I understand this bank is in Northern Michigan but that is not an excuse to procrastinate and not get with the times. You are a bank and people trust you with their money let's start acting like it's 2018.

Used to be a very helpful little bank but customer service has gone drastically down hill in the past few years. They never had any idea about international transactions and the like, but that was ok for a small rural bank. Refusing to flag you debit card to not get blocked when you are traveling means that you cannot rely on it at all, so you have to use another card from another bank. The last straw was the ridiculous farce of changing over to a new online banking system with the functionality of one from back in the 90's. Not only that, but all the data that was entered in the old system has been trashed and cannot be retrieved. Looks like a cost cutting exercise with no consideration for customer service at all. Off to look for another bank :-(
