Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Accountability
I ordered two doors from Big Rapids Lumber and Hardware, and both arrived with faulty windows that fall out. I was initially told that replacement doors would be ordered, but I never received any follow-up communication. When I reached out again, I was told that no one there had any knowledge of the issue.
Consumers, be cautious. If your order doesn’t come in perfect, this company does not seem willing to take responsibility or make things right. Very disappointed with the lack of service and follow-through.

Not good prices offered when trying to sell. Had different things you could buy though.

Very friendly employees who helped. Unfortunately the shipper had put the ordered product on the second truck coming in later. Seems like a good place to get your hardware/ lumber needs met.

Been buying supplies from here for my business for a bit now and I guess October 1st 2023 the supplies i purchase went up 120% in cost. Kind of a bummer cause I like supporting local but can order everything for half the price.

I always check here first before driving out to the highway to check the other hardware stores. They have a large selection and some very helpful people. It's worth a visit.

Great Lumber Yard! I grew up going to this lumberyard as a kid with my dad who was a builder in Big Rapids for close to 40 years. My dad pretty much gave all of his business to Cash & Carry because he new he always got the best service and exactly what he needed. The same guys are there today as there was 40 years ago. Don’t give your business to the big box stores. Shop with the experts at Cash & Carry.
