I have a 3 pound dog that I trust very few to take care of without me with her.
If I need her separate from the other dogs for any reason.. that's what they do.And if for any reason I need her touched up that got missed, they get her in quick to take care of it.
I never have to worry about her even though it takes a little bit of time to call or message to have you come and pick up your dog. I say that's a good thing.. you know your dog is getting the attention that you want your dog to have.

Then the techs come and tak her from us but we know she’s in great hands… they get down on the floor with her! When we see Dr Linda … what more can we say !!! We truly trust her wisdom and knowledge to do/recommend the best for our girl, as if she were her own. It’s funny .. when we go out for Jeep rides or in the car … Ms Chella always gets so excited when we even get near their driveway. And when we pass it, her excitement just dwindles. It’s hilarious!

745 Water Tower Road, Big RapidsDr. Ruth gave my dog Ziggy his life back! In April, he created his own injury, which exploded into an out of control granulomas. After being bandaged for newly 6 mths, antibiotics, biopsy’s, cultures, and no good hope from his vet. They were starting to push the quality of life discussion. A 2nd opinion vet suggested removal of his 5th digit. Within days Dr. Ruth saw Ziggy, and agreed removal is the way to go. Not only did she say it is a common procedure for this angry hot spot, she indicated he would be good after 3 weeks.
She was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!
Within 3 days after surgery, his personality came back, and his actions showed the pain and annoyance of the granulomas subsided. He was released from her care within 2 weeks.
I can’t express enough how she recognized what he has gone through, and am forever grateful that she was both wise and talented in her profession, to bring my boy back to me.

17085 12 Mile Road, Big RapidsMy rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound was always left in my son's care, in Lansing, when I went away. I lived across the road from him so it was super convenient and didn't pose a problem with him already having two dogs and a cat himself. She was able to stay in the house she knew, her couch, and her own backyard. All he had to do was come over a few times a day and let her out and water and feed her. I was spoiled by the convenience! I was very nervous about leaving her with a kennel since I recently moved to the Big Rapids area. I was very impressed with our tour! Friendly staff, very clean, well maintained, and a large safe fenced in area for the bigger dogs. She took us around and explained their schedules and procedures for caring for all of their guests. The dogs are taken out separately and you have an option to pay for extra trips outside. Her first stay was for a whole week while we vacationed. She did fine once she settled down and it was apparent she was very well taken care of. She just returned after another shorter stay. We love Monkeyshine and their staff. I feel confident and a little bit more relaxed now when we leave her. She is my big baby girl. 🥰 P.S. check out their FB page! They also provide doggie daycare and grooming services.

1003 Maple Street, Big RapidsWe were traveling through town and Googled dog friendly restaurants. We stopped here and our mini Bernedoodle was treated like royalty. Everyone loved him and he loved them also. Thank you for allowing pets. This is a great find!
