As an owner of multiple companies in the service industry, I have a lot of patience and empathy for mistakes or misunderstandings when it comes to service. The incredible ineptidtude and carelessness of the employees at this particular location are BEYOND the pale, and are so incredibly outside of the lines of what anyone should tolerate, I just HAVE to say something, putting myself at risk of even more relaliation from these people. To describe how they have cost me many thousands of dollars over the years would barely scratch the surface of the true cost to my companies that their careless, remorseless, and outright resentful attitudes and actions have had. Year. After year. After year. The same. Exact. Experience. And an apology? You would have better luck hitting the lottery than get anyone in this location to take any accountability for their mess. As a former Management Role/Post Office employee myself, I am well aware of what it takes to carry out the simple tasks that these people profoundly screw up routinely. There is simply no excuse for it. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else, ANYWHERE else.

Absolutely unacceptable. I will be reporting this to the USPS Inspector General and pushing for a full investigation into this location.
Someone at this post office intentionally opened one of my packages, stole the contents, and then taped the box back together like nothing happened. You can clearly see from the photos: this box was cut clean down the middle and resealed. I ship high-value off-road camera mounts for my business, and this was a $200 loss.
This isn’t the first issue either. I’ve had:
• A $1,200 check mailed Certified and delivered late
• Express shipping paid for ($60), only to arrive two days late
• And now, an employee stealing my product right out of a tamper-proof box
I’ll be uploading these photos and filing a formal theft complaint at uspsoig.gov.
I’ll be using UPS from now on for all business shipments and telling my customers and network of dealers to do the same. I take my brand seriously, and USPS has completely lost my trust.

Many times don’t get our mail until 6:30 and later. There have been some days where our mail is not even delivered, out going mail not picked up either. Getting frustrated as I have many packages coming in and going out at times. Not sure if it’s lack of employees or what, but mail is to be delivered daily.

My mail has been coming with no problems, but now only junk mail comes and not my bills. Informed discovery in the app has been right on until Tuesday the 23rd and Thursday the 25th of January 2024 both times 1 bill for each day was suppose to be here and nothing, and here it is Friday the 26th of January and still haven't got my bill from Tuesday or Thursday. The post office can't do their job right but they wanna keep upping the price of stamps.

I was in a few days ago and saw the most insensitive and racial bias behavior I've ever seen that made everyone in the building and other employees uncomfortable from one specific employee. I've had nothing but good experiences here with the younger staff but this incident has changed my view more than I'd like.

My grandmother always sends me a letter with words of encouragement as well as a 20 dollar bill, when I got the letter this time it had been opened and there was no money. She has been sending these for 4 years now so I know it had money in it. Isn’t it illegal to open someone’s mail?

USPS 1498 Division, Big Rapids, MI POOR SERVICE TO NO SERVICE FROM OCT 2021 TO JAN 2022: 1. Oct to Nov 2021 USPS "LOST" OUR MAIL FORWARDING REQUEST for our PO Box 1460, NO MAIL WAS FORWARDED. 2. Nov 2021 Big Rapids Maple St. PO stated they FOUND THE MAIL FOWARDING REQUEST (AFTER OVER 30 DAYS). 3. Nov 2021 Big Rapids Maple St. Post Office stated they would reactivate our mail forwarding request. 4. Nov 2021 to Jan 2022 NO MAIL EVER ARRIVED AT TEMPORARY ADDRESS, several bills were returned to sender. 5. 24 Jan 2022 called Big Rapids Maple Street Post Office. Postmaster RJ Elliot stated that maybe our PO Box 1460 could have been accidently canceled by the mail forwarding request. He would check and call back by 25 Jan 2022. 6. 26 Jan 2022 NO CALL BACK received from anyone at Big Rapids Maple Street Post Office. 7. 26 Jan 2022 Called the listed phone number for Big Rapids Maple Street Post Office, 231-592-1498: 8. 26 Jan 2022 at 1000: USPS telephone answering machine said to hang on, an operator will answer, phone then rang over 30 times, then hung up. 9. 26 Jan 2022 at 1015: USPS telephone answering machine said to hang on, an operator will answer, phone then rang over 30 times, then hung up. 10. 26 Jan 2022 at 1110: USPS telephone answering machine said to hang on, an operator will answer, phone then rang over 30 times, then hung up.
