This was our first visit here, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff were so kind, welcoming, and caring towards myself and my bearded dragon Fafnir! I’d definitely recommend this vet to anyone!

The staff was more than patient in helping us with transferring records from out of town and offering us cancelled appointments. Dr. Buck and staff exceeded our expectations and then some. We are so grateful for everyone at Frankenmuth Birch Run Veterinarian Service!

Amazing bedside manner. Doctor is so compassionate, capable and kind. The staff is great too! We've brought our birds here a couple times and have never been disappointed with the care and thoughtfulness they put into their work.

I was very pleased with the knowledge and friendliness of everyone involved. The concern and care they provided for Alfalpha was comforting and reassuring to me. I am thankful and appreciative to each of them beyond words can express. Alfalpha is doing great because of all of you. Thank you so much!

If I could give zero stars I would. The vets here do NOT care about your fur baby. ALL they care about is $$. They lied about our dog having dental disease. Pushed us for unnecessary blood work. Pushed medication claiming our dog had a severe uti. When she never did. They were pushing trying to get us to go thru with a dental procedure on a 15 year old dog. Which I'm glad we didn't go thru with it. Even gave us false hope claiming that if we spent all this money and did all these procedures/meds/bloodwork that she would be perfectly healthy. When in fact she had a tumor in her stomach that was the size of her stomach.
Do not bring your beloved fur baby here. Unless you enjoy being fed lies and spending unnecessary money.

I am extremely satisfied with our visit to this vet. I took my bunny in to get neutered, which I was a little bit nervous about. However, this clinic is rabbit savvy and I trust them completely! In fact, other bunny parents trust Dr. Buck as well since there were two other bunnies in the waiting room! They offer vaccinations and surgeries that a bunny might need. They also encouraged me to bring my bunny's pellets and favorite veggies so that he would be more likely to eat after the procedure. The staff was very accommodating and understanding, because it was our first time bringing my bunny to the vet. I had many questions, and they answered all of them. For example, a staff member helped me learn what to do with my bunny after he was discharged. The paperwork we had to fill out previous to being seen was very brief and took about 3 minutes, which was nice! My bunny obviously felt right at home because he was hopping around in the exam room before we were seen. They are very thorough with their exam, checking the weight, and heart (among other things). We felt very welcome at this vet, and my bunny was not traumatized from his surgery. They were gracious enough to clip his nails and clean his ears as a complementary service to the castration. This was very nice because it would have been a huge hassle and way to stress out my bunny at home. Dr. Buck and her team are all very kind and I would recommend this clinic to anyone with a pet that they care about.

Well, I was a nervous wreck when my 3 year old bunny, Babs, had to have her first surgical procedure. We found a tumor on her. After an aspiration we decided to remove it. I know that rabbits are very sensitive to anesthetic and sometimes don’t make it. That was my main concern. The team here is super knowledgeable, rabbit-savvy and used top notch treatment when it came to my fur baby. She’s my world. She’s my child. They reassured me that everything would be fine and explained in detail everything that they would be doing. They had her done very quickly and sent her home on pain meds and gave me extra pain meds to take home for her. She is recovering beautifully. There have been no issues with her gut, no issues with her appetite, no issues with her incisions/stitches, no issues at all! She’s only 4 days post-op and she’s flopping, binkying and running around like she’s had absolutely nothing done. I would recommend anyone who’s a bunny parent to come to this veterinary office. I trust them with her life. Literally!

I drove over an hour to this vet, and I will continue to do so when it comes to my sugar gliders! I arrived with my bonded pair of female sugar gliders, one had a hurt leg . Instantly, I was approached by staff, and the girls at the desk were immediately aware that I was carrying gliders (even though they couldn’t see them because they were in a bonding pouch). The fact that the staff recognized the bonding pouch, showed me that this isn’t their first time with gliders either and that alone was comforting. The wait was extremely short, and once they were ready for our gliders, we as guests were allowed to wait in a nice, clean, bright and nicely decorated room away from all the business of an animal hospital/vet. The veterinarian was INCREDIBLE! Not only did she come and give us a ran down of what she was going to do, but she was also sweet enough to ask if using the “sleepy gas” (as I call it) to knock out my gliders (sugar gliders can get really defensive if they don’t know you, my young pair definitely would with the one being injured), I told her whatever is necessary to help the process go smooth. The vet fixed my glider’s leg (she had a fracture and must wear a cast for 2 weeks. Fortunately, she is expecting a full recovery. Overall, not only was the service incredibly fast, and extremely compassionate, but the staff definitely knew their stuff, and the price was more than fair for the work needing to be done. I very much look forward to putting my trust and faith into this facility whenever life throws a curveball at me and my beloved sugar gliders!

Both the doctors and staff are in my opinion the best there is and I won't go anywhere else. I've been taking my animals there for 20 years and I won't see anyone but Dr Buck. So if you are looking for a new clinic to take your animals to I would totally recommend this office and this doctor. She also treats exotics if you have one of those and are looking for a new doctor.
