Horrible customer service. Showed up with 2 forms of identification and could not withdraw the money. Called Chase customer service, they told me there are no issues with the account. Complete incompetence.

Had the most pleasant visit this morning. I typically dread going into banks but everything was done efficiently and both tellers were great. Thank you to both Sarah’s(I hope that is the correct spelling).

So they have a separate enclosed vestibule with an ATM, which is SUPPOSED to be open at all hours, yet it’s locked unnecessarily. WHAT’S THE POINT IN HAVING THAT AREA IF YOU LEAVE IT LOCKED. It’s downtown Birmingham, not Pontiac.

Went to Chase Bank in downtown Birmingham, Michigan to make a Wire Transfer this morning. I stood in line while ONE Teller waited on customers. The other Teller said she was "new and in training" and could not process transactions. The Bank Manager came out to ask what those of us in line were there for. I told him I need to make a wire transfer and the man behind me said he was there to make a deposit. The man behind me was told to step ahead on me while I was taken out of line waiting for the only teller that knew what she was doing to process my wire transaction. I still am confused as to why the Bank Manager didn't process my wire himself. He did not appear to be busy and kept walking around observing but not assisting.Soon after the Teller called me up, the line of customers in the Lobby started getting longer and the new Teller who could not process transactions, walked out from behind her station after so many customers asked if she could help them. She kept saying that she was new and unable to process anything for them.My Teller was getting nervous, but clearly doing the best she could as quickly as she could. She is a very professional young lady (Afrin) that is also new to Chase but is nice and kind to everyone. As she finalized the paperwork, the Bank's Manager came back, handed me the Wire form and said, "Look this over. If there is a mistake, its on YOU, not US." After I signed the form, I said to the Chase Bank Manager, "You need more people." He snapped and said, "No I don't.....I have enough people. All my Personal Bankers are in the back with Clients right now." I told him my experience with that Chase bank branch is one of extended wait times. He dismissed me and when I asked him to consider a waiver of my Wire fee due to the wait, he said, "No....Those are the kind of things that can get someone fired." Not a nice attitude to have with a customer who is also a large shareholder. If you are looking for a competently managed bank in the Birmingham area, do NOT look at Chase Bank in downtown Birmingham on Old Woodward Ave. The Manager is Rude, Unprofessional and needs to be sent to Customer Service Training 101. He apparently missed this training class when he was hired!

Wasted half a day trying to open simple Business Checking Account with one of their "Private Bankers", Diane L.Lesson learned. She was clueless about what I was asking for. Confused my requests with wrong services. Then, proceeded to brush off my clear instructions so that she could turn her computer screen towards me and point randomly at the Chase.com website to try to sell me other products/services I wasn't asking for.Guess I know what "Private Banker" means now. Same stale, generic sales hustle, just the higher fee products instead!Mind you, I was only in the branch because the website asked me to book an in-person appointment to complete the task I tried to do online. After Diane assured me she had what she needed, I called back later after leaving, just to clearly check one last time. Sure enough, after clearly explaining my needs, again, she fumbled & bumbled about needing to "escalate" to another manager because she now could confirm she had totally misunderstood what I was asking for and still didn't comprehend how to help me.That manager called me back a few minutes later and basically told me they don't have an account product to offer me and made it quite clear they weren't interested in a relationship with me or my businesses at all.Really disappointing experience at every turn.

Indoor ATMs seem to work sometimes depending on its mood. Otherwise, clean facility and nice workers.

What an amazing experience at the bank without winning the lotto. I went in today after a phone scam had me at the FBI making a report and I had to report the fraud to all my financial institutions. I went in today and even though two of the four bank employees were out sick I was taken care of in what seemed like record time. The bank, the employees all put me at ease when I was quite honestly ready to do something stupid after the scam that was pulled on me. I can't thank the staff and how peaceful the whole setting of this bank was. You made an awful day so much better and I never would have expected that.

Beware if have an auto loan, and go to sell your car, Chase's "policy" is that they will not sign off your title, like every other bank I have ever dealt with, even if you pay off your loan in cash. This will prevent you from giving your buyer a clean title, and they will not be able to register the vehicle in their name until 2-10 days later, with no commitment of when lien paperwork will be delivered. If you want to pay for overnight mail, then you can get incrementally sooner at your cost, but when asked for tracking number said they just put in regular mail. Every other bank allows their teller to sign off, which is all the secretary of state requires.
