I would give zero stars to this bank if I could. This credit union asks like a bank. They charge for everything. I decided to close my account because they charge my account for inactivity fee. I was never told about this fee via email, letter or even a phone call. They even charge for a statements as well. I was told they do not offer interest for your checking account, but my other credit union offers 5.25 percent for interest. Honestly, DFCU seems like they are money hungry bank. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

I was a valued customer many years ago with this credit union and when I found out that you all are opening a branch in Rochester Chester Michigan, I decided to re-join the credit union. You all were instrumental in helping me years ago when I needed it and was always good for me to me helpful so I decided to re-join I hope that experience will continue

Do yourself a favor, don't bank here. The in-person banking and staff are fine, and the people working at the brick and mortars are actually great but the call center is horrible. God help you if you ever need the call center, because they will not. I've had several unpleasant interactions with the call center, I was willing to chalk those up to me at first. The last time was the last straw though.I was trying to prevent a charge to my debit card. I talked to 3 (3!!!) separate people at the call center, they all LIED about my rights as a consumer to stop the charges. Why do I say they lied? Until I quoted the whole rule in consumer.gov to the 3rd person I talked to, they insisted I could do nothing to prevent the charges. As a nice bonus, the whole time being needlessly rude towards me and taking little verbal potshots at me like I'm unable to pay my bills. Nice, huh? Isn't that the customer service you expect from a big bank? Well, you can get it right here from a local credit union. Flat out lies and digs at you about your financial situation.I'm taking my business to a different CU, somewhere a little more honest.
