Zero stars. This place needs to be closed. Workers on their ear buds talking to their friends, little to no interest in servicing people waiting in line, and generally consistently rude. Every year it gets worse. Go anywhere but here.

I had a very disappointing experience at this location on Saturday. Although the post office was listed as open until 3:30 PM, there were no staff members available to assist customers. An elderly woman approached me for help with the self-service machine, expressing that she was also unable to find anyone on duty.
Eventually, another customer called out for assistance, and a staff member named Mary emerged. Unfortunately, her demeanor was unprofessional and unwelcoming. When I informed her that the package drop-off container was jammed and asked if she could take my package, she responded as if I had asked for an unreasonable favor.
This lack of basic customer service, especially during posted business hours, was unacceptable.

Never come to this location for passport services. I believe her name is Sherry she was very rude from the beginning very unpleasant they acting over there like they own the whole universe. this place is supposed to provide service not abused their power. We had all the information the picture the forms everything completed. All she had to do is take the information take the money and ship and not give people lectures and think she's high up. The supervisor over there is weak with all due respect I think he's afraid of his staff. Somebody from high up need to come and check this location cuz I haven't seen one review that is good. And clearly nothing has been changed to improve customer service. We went to other location they're very respectful they completed the whole process in 5 minutes.

Have had multiple mail holds where mail not held. The last couple I even went in person to confirm and was told it was in place and yet mail was still delivered. In addition, have had multiple occasions I’ve gone during business hours (not lunch hour) and the office is inexplicably closed. Those in line ahead of me had often been waiting awhile with no information.

We/I have been out of town on 4 separate occasions in the last 2 years. We/I have put a hold mail request in on each occasion and despite this the mail has been delivered to the house during the hold period every time. Thankfully we have neighbors and friends who watch and pick up the mail. The post office staff are very rude when questioned about this. This is extremely disappointing. If we could give less than one star, we would. I wish the post office would just do their job. 🤬

Refused to take passport walk in service with the excuse that they are understaffed. Please either update the website and remove walk in hours or have enough people. You are wasting people’s time.

The clerks who work here are rude. On their cell phones with ear buds in. Horrible service. I feel these maybe DEI hires.
Over 30 minutes to mail 1 envelope. All she did was talk in her ear buds the whole time.

I had a very disappointing experience at this USPS location. One of the workers Brenda, was extremely rude and demanding throughout the interaction. Rather than offering help or being patient, they seemed irritated from the start and made the entire process unnecessarily stressful. I understand busy days happen, but basic respect and professionalism should always be part of the service. I hope management takes steps to improve customer service here.

Go anywhere else for passports. Even though the website states walk-ins are available they will refuse to do it then give you attitude.

For the FOURTH consecutive time, my mail hold has been ignored. They cannot follow simple directions. Adding to the insult, they refuse to answer the phone and I can’t leave a VM. This useless place needs to be shut down. Bring on DOGE, and use these funds for something beneficial to the community. Makes me sick.

Waited in line almost 30 minutes with my toddler. 0 staff available aside from a worker who said she was only doing passports and could care less about anyone waiting in line even those of us with little ones. After only offering passport customers she eventually decided to help the rest of us.

I’ve lived in Birmingham for 45 years and have attempted to avoid this post office for the last 10 years. Today, the line of seven people waited for 30 minutes while the one postal clerk helped someone with a passport. After 30 minutes another clerk appeared. This post office seems to have a disregard for customer service.
