To whom it may concern; I am a frequent shopper at better health. I'm vegan and have some health problems and I love that there is a store so close to my house that I can get the supplements & food I need. Due to high anxiety and being a sensitive individual , usually I have someone else shop for me, or I do pick up orders, but at Better Health I like coming to the store. Until recently. I don't know why the women who work there are so mean and rude, but I left the store and got in my car and cried when I left recently. It's already a lot for me to even want to go into a store and have to talk to someone already. First there was no one at the cash registers, so I walked over to the lady sitting at the manager's desk and told her I was ready to check out. She seemed so angry that I was bothering her and that she had to help me check out. When she was ringing me up I noticed one of the items was the wrong price. I told her about the price difference and she snapped at me. "That's a price for members." and i said "I am a member" she just assumed I wasn't? Maybe because I'm black. Maybe because my partner and I are lesbians. Maybe she didn't like the clothes I was wearing. I don't know why she decided to treat me this way. I know this is a predominantly caucasian neighborhood, i don't know, every time someone was rude to me there it was an older white lady. She never asked for my phone number, she didn't ask if I wanted to use my points, and she wouldn't let me try my coupon either to see if I could get a discount. She talked to me as if I was stupid when I asked questions about items and the coupon. She was just so mean! It was the woman that works at the bloomfield location. She's tall, wears glasses, is older, a bit chunky, and has long dark hair that's starting to turn gray. This is the third time I have had this experience. The first time I blew it off, it was a different lady, older than the one I mentioned above, with white hair and glasses. The second time it was the same lady above who was really rude. I try to give people the benefit of a doubt, maybe they were having a bad day. But after this third time I don't want to come to this store anymore. And that really sucks because I love this store. I was even considering applying for a job here to get out of my comfort zone. But not if this is the type of people I would have to work with. When you think of a health store you think, calm, chill, happy healthy people and environment. This location is not giving me any of that. The store is in the Bloomfield hills location. 2053 S Telegraph Rd Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302. I have spent thousands of dollars here. It is my go-to for all my special dietary needs. I spend about $50-$100 a week at this store. I'm sure my money means nothing in the grand scheme of things, I know I am just one customer. But this one customer will be going to Zerbos down the street instead. At Least their workers don't treat me like I am less than them. Wishing you health, wealth and happiness. Sydney

I appreciate the variety of healthy foods; however, the employees at this store go above and beyond to make customers feel unwelcome. The customer service fails to compliment the products on the shelves. I will never shop at Better Health Market again.

I hope the owner of Better Health reads his reviews. Better Health on Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Twp, MI needs new management. Both the cashier and manager were extremely rude and acted like customers were a nuisance. The store is not clean and, often, the food on the shelves is spoiled. I could deal with that but I cannot tolerate being mistreated by a manager and a cashier. I asked the cashier if she was having a bad day-giving her the benefit of doubt. She scowled and did not answer. I never saw either one of them great a patron nicely. I have shopped at this store for over 10 years. This past year, the employees have changed. I will never go back to this store nor will I refer by business customers.

I can find things here sometimes that I can't find at the two local big chain grocery stores.
It's closer than Whole Foods or Trader Joe's if you live in the area
The prices can be a little bit more expensive on certain things

Nice little market with a wide selection of vegan and gluten free items. Reasonably priced and good location.

This is the only better health I’ve been to where every time I come in it’s as if I am bothering the staff by being there. The selection is very small and they don’t have nearly as much as other stores. This is the closest one to me but I always drive out of my way to go to another location. Whoever is running this place, please train your staff in customer service because it’s always different people acting the same way.

For a health food store they had very little for fresh produce.

I love this store. Vitamin prices are right. I do like the workers there. Idk why some people say they had problems at the store. Then again, it’s Bloomfield, home of the entitled, quick to criticize. My only request is to be more mindful of products that have the P65 Warning Label on them. People deserve quality products and sometimes miss the warning label on these supplements. I think that the store should remove these products if they really have a desire to prove their mission.❤️

The employees will follow you thru out the store. No one is going to steal a bottle of water or bag of popcorn. Extremely unprofessional get better management immediately. What a crazy store! Stay away from this business!

I’ve been really pleased in the past with this store but just stopped in to get vitamins. I was there for 5 minutes, the woman who’s the vitamin consultant (older long gray ponytail) was incredibly rude. She kept trying to push heavy large vitamins for kids. I told her I didn’t want anything that would make my kids nauseas. She said “well you’re just talking out loud and not listening to me.” I will never go back again.

Is their salad/hot bar is definitely the best cap secret in Bloomfield area. Let's compare it to Whole Foods Whole Foods salad bar is $14 a pound and rarely do they have anything organic or truly all natural this salad bar bar is 10 bucks a pound Is with a much higher standard of food.

Beautiful store, all items were stocked, organized, packaged well, and clearly priced. They have a great selection of fresh produce and cold and freezer food items too. The cashier was very pleasant and the parking lot was large and clean. I was very impressed with this location.

Rude and unfriendly staff. No wonder no one is on the store. The girl at the deli was helpful but the other women were actually mean
