Carl literally pulled up in his car as soon as I got there at 9:59 to tell me the gas station is closed. He had three clocks he said. Saying ten. I needed gas pretty bad and my car's clock was off by two minutes apparently. Carl sounded angry and ready to lash out. He gave strong, confrontational eye contact. It was creepy. I should have just filled up in front of the jerk, but I could tell he was craving drama and didn't want to give it to him.
Pro tip Carl, if you have a good reason to split hairs with minutes, either lead with it or offer it before too long. Certainly offer it at all. That's a customer service thing. It's never that the customer is always right, but you need to be on their side, not itching to dominate them.
Function wise, why not just set out a cone at the entrance at 10:00? That way you don't have to zip around in your car and confront customers. The pumps get locked up after the closing time so you don't even really need to confront them at all.

Easy entry and exit from Telegraph Rd or from the Costco warehouse parking lot (behind the gas station). A US Post Office, McDonald's, and Dollar Tree are nearby. Does not accept Discover Card. Helpful assistants are out and about cleaning up and guiding cars if the lanes become busy. Best time to fuel up: early weekday mornings before 8 am. At that time, you will usually not wait for a pump. They're busy after 3:30 during the week.
