It is nice to walk around the grounds. Haven't been inside any of the paid buildings yet, but recommend walking around and enjoying nature.

The basic guided house tour gets you access to several rooms on the first level. Everything that you're allowed to see is beautiful. The final stop, The Library, is magnificent. After the house tour, be sure to spend an hour walking the grounds. There are numerous gardens that you'll want to see.
Cranbrook House & Gardens is a 1908 English Tudor manor surrounded by 40 acres of gardens. It was the former home of Cranbrook Educational Community founders George Gough Booth and Ellen Scripps Booth. The gardens feature extensive plantings, fountains, statuary, lakes, and streams. We invite you to tour the historic house, explore the gardens, and become a member.
